Pakistan tour of Australia (Dec 2016 - Jan 2017)

Well to be honest i didn't know why he was dropped.:D
No I think he got injured and the selectors brought Renshaw In And Probably Forgot About Marsh.

Great stuff by Handscomb! !!!

His average is over 100 as well!!!

Well played :clap

I predicted few month's earlier Pakistan will win this Test and Melbourne. I think this will be Misbah's last Test. I think people overrated Pakistan just as I have. Still they have good batsmen and their future does not seemingly going to fall.
Honestly, if Yasir Shah does not do good in the next Test series Pakistan plays, he should be dropped.

He shouldn't be dropped. Difficult to pick up wickets on roads like these.

Master batting from Azhar Ali and Younis Khan going on. Younis is really solid out there, I wish he would have clicked before the loss of the series but its better late than never. Azhar Ali is again busy making enough runs to shut the critics up. Great batting effort by Team Pakistan. Its still a long way to go though. The worrying signs are Pakistan's bowling specially Aamir and Yasir Shah...

Younis again doing the thing which helps him keep his place in the side - score runs at the brink of being dropped. But I still stick with my initial thought - his time is over. He should hang his boots while he still can and avoid an unceremonious outster.

Its a shame that players in sub-continent don't want to retire for their life times... and It is more in Pakistan and India than any other country

Totally agree. A lot of these sub-continent players wouldn't have survived this long in a more open and competitive teams of other countries.

Younus is playing good and looking solid in this last test match. His start is bad, but when he passes 20-30 runs. He plays tremendously well.
But I think that the time has come that Misbah and Younus both should retire and free up space for some other players, who are consistently performing in the domestic.

Its the habit of Younis, He scored at the brink rather than scoring in the most crucial matches.. Nevertheless He has done well for himself piling up most runs for Pakistan, But was he the greatest batsmen Pakistan ever produced.. No.. not at all..

For a lot of them it is the end of their career. Majority of players can't speak English and end up with medicore jobs after their careers. e.g. Arshad Khan is now a taxi driver in Australia.

If you're an educated individual, you go in to punditry and commentary however unfortunatly a lot from Pakistan aren't.

Yeah agreed and on the other hand, You see guys like Mehmood Hamid and Ghulam Ali becoming cricketing experts in Geo Super, The ones who have just played one match and got a golden duck.....

Watching Yasir play in this similar is so similar to Ashwin two or three years ago on foreign tracks. The skill is there, it's there for all to see. What's letting him down is his physique. Like Ashwin previously, Yasir is pretty fat for a professional cricketer. This affects his bowling, particularly when he has to put in a lot of effort on tracks such as the Australian ones. Ashwin has trimmed down quite a bit, Yasir needs to do the same.

Can be true, particularly Shane Warne ranks him very high and according to Warne, Yasir just needs to get bit more patient and gets his line right with supportive field placements. The short training video sums up all how capable Yasir is and there is no doubt on his immense talent. Shane Warne loves leg spin bowling like anything and when he commentates while Yasir bowl, It appears that Shane desperately want Yasir to succeed. Shane said that You have to be nice and relax, enjoy the breeze and bowl rather than rushing for a wicket and loose your focus. I think Yasir Shah just needs to set his attitude right, enjoy the bowling, the wickets will come to him, currently he is looking desparate.. Unfortunately He hasn't got good captaincy and coaching back at the moment as well to take good work from him. Mushi needed to be there with him.

On the other hand, I saw the UK experts making fun and saying that Yasir is not good enough in the overseas.. Writing off the best talent so easily can't reverse 2-2 test result in England I will have to say guys :) When the World's best leg spinner is praising the talent then your opinion matters little before him sorry to say.
