Pakistan tour of Australia (Dec 2016 - Jan 2017)

Sharjeel is not a test material...

I think you're drawing incorrect parallels. Roger Federer has often broken into tears after grand slam wins. The last two I saw cry on the cricket field after triumph were Harbhajan Singh and S Sreesanth. Two people you'll probably never associate humble with. Lara, Tendulkar and basically any batsman of that generation (Inzi, Kallis, Ponting, Sangakkara etc) were very conscious of numbers. The game would suddenly stall as soon as they got into the late 80's. I admire the current generation a LOT more for the quality of not caring what score they're on. They just get on with it! So, contrary to your belief, I think times change and the current generation is as humble as the previous lot, but they just are more expressive and that's how it's going to be. You just take us with may be people who are in their late 40's. If something monumental happens in our life, we first want Facebook/Instagram to know rather than soak the feeling in. People in their 40's or late 40's will first share with their near and dear ones, then telephone people and then just may be if they find the time put it on Facebook/Instagram. It's not humility, it's evolution!

I meant that you name the legends and you won't find them that expressive in celebrations. It has been the habit. About the evolution, You are quite right on that but I still feel that its more about personalities than evolution. If two people got some personal milestones, Their facebook celebration status would differ according to their personalities, Some are humble, some are over-expressive, some try some extra to grab more attention. About the consciousness, I can partially agree with you, even in that era, The players you have named, to me some were more for the team winning and some were after their records and it was visible...

I don't have any problems with the way players celebrate. They have worked hard for those runs and they let out their emotions when they reach a certain landmark. No harm in that. Pakistan players did pushups in the Lords. That's their way to celebrate. Warner will jump in the air and scream and that's his way. Younis might remain calm and that's his way. After all not everyday will you get a chance to score 100.

The way Australia brutally beaten Pakistani bowlers is a huge wake-up call for Pakistan's management. Mickey Arthur is looking for excuses I am afraid, You have to admit you don't posses good enough bowlers at the moment... I listened to Aaqib Javed's comment yesterday and I was quite convinced on his wisdom and cricket talk. He was of the view that Yasir needs support from new ball bowlers, You got to take wickets from New ball. If the opening stand is 100 for no wicket, How would you expect Yasir to come and sweep the lineup... Rightly so, Pakistani bowlers miserably failed with the new ball. Aussies were playing them like babies and it was a shame against the promises management made that our bowlers are so well... Come out from dream

Ok, i know i change my mind after every single day, but here's my updated lineup for the first Test against WI :p

Azhar Ali
Sharjeel Khan (give him chances, he's got talent) / Ahmed Shehzad
Asad Shafiq
Younis Khan
Babar Azam
Kamran Akmal (as much as this hurts me, Sarfraz needs to be dropped as he's done terribly with the gloves and doesn't convert his starts)
Imad Wasim / Fawad Alam
Tabish Khan
Mohammad Asghar
Junaid Khan
Mir Hamza

The guy who bowls full tosses in his first spell is supposed to surpass Wasim Akram :lol

Sarfraz should be sent in next. The coaches need to tell him to play like a normal batsman and try to get a big score. If he doesn't score in this innings, he needs to be dropped.

I see you are still moaning about it !

PS: I said he can, never said he will :)

3 Down :D Hazlewood <3

672 – The number of runs conceded by Yasir in the series, the most by any bowler in a three-match Test series, surpassing Muttiah Muralitharan’s 649 also conceded against Australia in Sri Lanka in 2004.

Literally just waiting for Younis to score those 35 runs, so I can go to bed. I have no hope for the rest of the test or the ODI series coming up.

12 Test matches in a row lost by Pakistan in Australia(1999 - 2017).I thought the late 90s team did better atleast one a match.

Pakistan last 4 test series in AUS:
3-0, 3-0, 3-0, 3-0 :')
Yasir Shah:
672 runs , 8 wickets [AVERAGE 84 :D]
