It's gonna take a while to forget this one
He turned it around in the last match of that series with an unbeaten hundred. He is averaging close to 50 in the last year.Does Pakistani fans want Azhar Ali in their Test line-up or not? Last year you guys were annoyed with him getting a chance in England after an extended poor run of form and now when he is not there then you want him back.
Jayden Seals. Are you a newbie/out of form/making a comeback/part-time bowler? If yes, Pakistan is the perfect opposition. Just ask Duanne Olivier, Paul Harris, Nathan Hauritz, Marcus North, Will Somerville and so many more.
@AsadRM Azhar and Imran opening, Saud Shakeel at 3?
Azahr Ali averages 43 as an opener since 2016, outside Pakistan and UAE, against top 8 teams.
@CerealKiller I reiterate this, but honestly, I won't mind Saud Shakeel either, although I don't really think he would solve the problem. I would be more than happy to be proved wrong though as we really need some good batsmen at the top!Saud Shakeel at #3 is a little iffy as well. He struggles against genuine pace early on. Although he is arguably the best player of spin in the country. That might even work for a couple of series as the next series are in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. But that is no long-term solution. Plus, form isn't really the problem for Imran Butt. His technique is poor, and if he can't play pace on Pakistani and West Indian pitches, you can imagine how well he would do in SENA.
Babar Azam: We were thinking of bowling first but we'll try to see off the new ball. We have Nauman Ali replacing Yasir Shah. Last two days we practiced hard and we'll try not to make mistakes.Hope Yasir is dropped for Nauman today.
The fukc was I saying before the first Test?Repeating myself for the umpteenth time now, but Azhar should open.
