Pakistan tour of West Indies Apr/May 2011

yeah i agree. a few new, young spinners should be given a chance but ajmal and rehman have done a pretty good job over the last few months. i dont know why taufeeq is batting in the middle order though

Pak won the Warm up Game. I like this New Top Order Combination. Having two specialist Openers Hafeez and Taufiq Umar and then coming Shehzad at Number 3 who is also a new ball expert and can give the circle benefit to the team if the wicket goes early plus he can be useful to keep the momentum going as fall after the loss of wicket. I wish we could have three specialist openers in the WC Squad anyhow what has gone has gone.

Pakistan didn't include any young spinner in the squad All our four spinners are 30 or 30+ so i think we should give chances to young spinners as well.I saw tahir Khan he plays from sindh He's quite good

Shahid Afridi is only 16 ;)

Scorecard for tour match: Tour Match: University of West Indies Vice Chancellor's XI v Pakistanis at Castries, Apr 18, 2011 | Cricket Scorecard | ESPN Cricinfo

Good century by Hafeez. Only T20I on Thursday, 2 pm EST. Pretty good timings for me.

I see Edwards played - good signs for the Windies that.

Indian Premier League 2011: Chris Gayle lined up as Dirk Nannes' replacement | Cricket News | Indian Premier League 2011 | ESPN Cricinfo

It would be an utter disgrace if Gayle somehow managed to go to the IPL.

lol @ afridi only 16. classic :lol. but ajmal is doin a good job. a young spinner if included in the squad could seriously learn from him and afridi.

Gotta love how WICB is crying "Disappointed in Gayle" when Gayle announced his decision to go to IPL after he wasn't picked in the squad vs Pakistan.

Anyone keeping an eye on Mansoor Amjad? was highly rated leg-spinner before Afridi's rise, and could turn out to be a possible replacement.

He wasnt picked for the first two ODIs because he was on a WICB injury treatment program for an injury he picked up during the world cup. As far as the WI new he was still being treated for that injury and then decided to go to the IPL.

That has to be the smallest trophy I have ever seen in my life.

they should give chance to youngsters in test series while T20 team ream must be totally fresh. hope for best for today's T20:)

When i look @ this entire situation with Gayle, Sarwan, Bravo, C Paul, Pollard vs the windies board - i have come to conclusion that the windies board is really @ fault. They haven't communicated what they see a the future of windies cricket post world-cup with these key group of players properly.

Firstly with regards to the IPL wanted players such a Gayle, Bravo & Pollard. One has to fair to them to understand that the money they can make in the IPL is nothing compared to what the windies board can do for them. So what the Windies board should have said was "ok you three you can go the IPL for the entire ODI/T20 vs PAK - but we want you back totally for the test vs PAK & entire series vs IND". While then they could have told the experienced guyanese duo "ok we will rest you for the first two ODIs & T20 since we want to look @ a few new guys - but you will be selected later in the series".

If something like that was communicated to the media, we wont have this confusion that we have currently & everyone would have been happy i'd say. Instead we have the windies board looking like fools & them basically have no control of Gayle, Bravo & Pollard - while they have alienated Sarwan & C'Paul. Which is a very dangerous development for windies cricket.
