He was just kidding, don't take it seriously.
I think it's all decided
You Whitewash t20 we'll whitewash Test:laugh
Lets guys be optimistic. I don't consider our bowling to be ok, had Kamran Akmal didn't loose catches and had we have at least a motivational captain we were there to beat Aussies in Sydney but that is past. We have a very good bowling unit with only weak bowler is Asif as he is not in his prime form but he is surely one of the most dangerous bowler in English conditions. Batting is very young but full of talent for me, if we instead of trying crapy Farhat move Kamran to open the innings with Salman Butt then we can add one more genuine batsman in middle order. I am looking forward to a well played and fighting series from Pakistan under Afridi.
Haha. Well the reality is that at those spots there isn't a standout. I'm not really a James Hopes fan, particularly in T20. And none of the other all-rounders have stood out enough for me to get that spot. Steve Smith is probably the best, but I don't think it would be good for his game to make him play all 3 forms. I think he should be focussing on his long term Test development, not how to stop people slogging him in T20s.
Ferguson should be the standout to replace Hussey at #6, but who knows what form he'll come back with so that's why I mentioned Bailey.
The left arm spinners are all pretty similar to me at present too, although I'd probably go Steve O'Keefe now that he's got the selectors nod of approval.
And the pacemen, well I'd probably rotate among the 5 of them really. I don't think Ryan Harris should be in the Test team, I'd rather the young guys like Hilfy, Siddle and George get a go at that first. And T20 is a good place for older guys that lack fitness but bowl smart to play like your Lee, Bracken, Harris.
Anyway, the point being that I hope we see a few more differences between our Test, ODI and T20 sides. I was looking through some stats yesterday and there really isn't many players in the cricket world that are excelling at all 3 formats at once - particularly fast bowlers.
Haven't you learned not to take anything I say seriously?Pride cometh before a fall.
I know you're mostly kidding with this statement but your general attitude has been one of a man who thinks his team as near invinciblem which our team, is not. Plus your incessant gloating after the two wins is kind of annoying because the real test (excuse the pun) starts next week.
I'd also argue that our team hasn't really accomplished anything (except give us fans some relief and something to cheer about) as T20s are the least important of the three formats and two T20 wins does not a summer make. So I suggest you wait until we actually accomplish something (like winning the Test series).
Jumping with joy and gloating like you're a Bangladeshi fan and your team just beat the World Champions only diminishes the value of your team as a competitive unit and what you think of your team's chances of victory for you to be so overjoyed.
Yes, we're all happy that we won SOMETHING. We're all happy that we didn't have to bear another defeat but the bottomline is that winning 2 T20 matches is not that big of a deal.
Well, thats one century down, only 2 to go. Hopefully he can get another tomorrow, and we'll only have one to contend with.Posted on his facebook "3 centuries minimum Ricky". Perhaps he's listening
Disappointed in Watson's recent form.
