I was talking about how MacGill was the #2 spinner behind Warne for most of his career, similar to how Boyce will be treated as the #2 behind Smith by the selectors, but anyway.

Its just a bit premature to be forecasting the career fail of Boyce due to Smith who hasnt even played one test yet. I always liked Cullen Bailey's legspin, but where he has he got to, maybe Boyce is a little better but not sure.

Australian bowlers are not in form whereas some of those Pakistani batsman can take hell out of Aussie bowling.

A lot of talk here about the Australian Spin department, I wonder which option Pakistan will go for, will they go for Danish? he hasnt played any of the practice games, although that maybe because he is with Essex so doesnt need the tour games.

It will be intresting to see if they do go with Danish, as they also have Afridi, both leg spin options, having said that, Afridi of past has not been an attckting option in Test Cricket.

Saeed Ajmal ofcourse is the other option instead of Danish, and then have Afridi as a 5th bowling option. Or maybe just maybe play Afridi as the only specialist spinner backed by Malik, to give more depth in the batting, but I doubt they will go for that.

Ajmal was tried out in the 1st Test against Australia in the Test series that recently happened. After that Kaneria came and he took more wickets then him. So it would be sensible to include Kaneria instead of Ajmal.

^Kaneria will be effective only if chances are taken of his bowling. Kamran Akmal needs to keep well to keep Kaneria effective.

Kaneria for sure. He is more attacking then Ajmal.

dude i am really not sure!, Ajmal is a real fighter..but dont know if he is good in tests though. This Afridi thing is working for Pak, but in test matches you can not expect him to win matches singlehandedly, i see Aus dominating again, but interesting how their suspect batting hold up against Gul and company.

I checked the ticketing prices: for 5 pounds you can see a Test match. That's pretty cheap.

But the better places cost probably more money. I see also tickets for 45 pounds.

Update: I see now the ticket prices for 5 pounds are just for persons under 16. For the rest of the people you've got to pay 45 pounds. That's a lot.

They're trying to encourage youth to come with the adults I guess - the cheapest adult ticket is 30 pounds.

Interestingly they're still selling seats for rows 1 to 8, which I presume are up to the front. Doesn't seem to be going too well, but I'm sure the 2nd test will have more fans. Pakistanis don't like Lord's (except of course for the T20 Final).

All stands are in good availability, so I guess not. But then again, we buy at the last minute, so that might happen.
