Pakistan v Australia in England, June-July 2010

New Honours board

Creative question. According to my Lords book Gordon Greenidge is on both, having scored hundreds for the West Indies and MCC, the latter placing his name on the boards in the home team's dressing room. So he should be on that, although I'm not sure if it was only because Greenidge was playing for the MCC.

MCC have put a new honours board up. Ive got TMS on and the MMC cheif, some Aussie cant remember his name, said as more games of this nature involving Pakistani were likely to happen in the future, a new board was the best thing to do... seeya Watson....

has experience, wicket taking ability and with Asif can keep it very tight.

And in one over Amir shows those exact attributes; awesome bowling simply awesome. Watson had absolutely not idea what to play what to leave due to the line and swing.

Pakistan have now got Katich out once and Watson out twice, in one delivery.

How is Mohammad Aamer's name supposed to be spelt? I've always seen it as either Aamer or Aamir, yet Sky have it down as Amir. What's the correct spelling?

Cmon Kami!

(I'm not blaming him here though - was a hard stop)

Insomniac added 0 Minutes and 39 Seconds later...

As far as I know it is Aamir, but again Pakistani names spelt in English can always come out different. Aamer, Amir, Aamir - I think officially it is Aamir.

Generally, people with that name spell it as Amir. However this guy I think spells it Aamer.

Fair enough. I'll stick with Aamer then, looks better I think :p

Really hope Katich gets cleaned up soon. Cannot stand watching him bat, has the ugliest technique in Cricket I think.

it's amir on his shirt

I'd like to see Asif chuck one full and fairly wide outside the off-stump to Katich. With that big movement across his crease, he can struggle to get his feet moving again from that point, so if he decides to play at the wide one, he'll be playing away from his body, and early in his innings there's a chance he could find the edge. Wouldn't be trying it too often, but worth a go every couple of overs I reckon. He might get a boundary, but there's a fair chance of taking the edge too.

Already two poor decisions against Pakistan. Both Katich and Ponting should be in the dressing room :facepalm

The Ponting one didn't look out in real time though TBF. He was a long way forward, and it was touch and go as to whether he was outside off-stump or not. Fair enough decision for mine.

As I predicted Watson is out early. A bit too bad that lunch will be taken at 1 am.

I would like to see this Pakistani bowling attack keep going.
