from memory, the the 3 times he did well in the ashes, he made 120 odd when he came in when australia were 350-4 so there was no pressure there and then he made 90-odd in a match that was going no where and the was the 90 odd he made when he came in with australia 150-4 but they already had a 50 run lead. he just hasnt made a decent score when it was really needed in my opinion
Asif and Aamer bowling beautifully. Gul has been real miserly with his bowling and picking up wickets to boot. Now Pakistan just have to maintain the pressure and not let Aus build a partnership. Kaneria could leak a few runs if he doesn't get it right. Let's see how Australia deal with this.

Close one that but probably shouldn't have been given but it at least balances up the decisions.
Australia in massive trouble here especially with Paine coming in next. I highly doubt he'll score more than 10 with the ball nipping around and all the pressure on him.

Asif needs a rest now. Butt needs to bring back Aamir. I expect a fightback from Australia now. They never go down easy.
Good time for the 3 batsmen left to make a mark, North to cement his spot via his batting, Paine to show he can bat under pressure and Smith to show he can bat at this level. But boy oh boy we have problems with our batting these days.
