Pakistan v Australia in England, June-July 2010

Pretty crazy bowling conditions, I cant think of many batsmen who could survive this. Always make bowlers look better sometimes when its swinging like crazy, though they have bowled well obviously. They couldnt even get Hilfenhaus out at Lords where it didnt swing in the 2nd innings.....

I remember all the ridiculous comments after day 1 of the SCG test.....

Oh yea! Gonna enjoy seeing how Australia get out of this one.
Yeah that's the funny thing. I still expect Australia to win this, and I think most people do. Pakistan are gonna collapse with a very small lead. Australia will come back well in the 2nd innings and bowl Pakistan out cheaply to win it reasonably comfortably.

It will be intesting to see if Pakistan can still actually put themselves into a position to win this test-match from here. I am not putting any money on it yet to be frank!

I hate Ten Sports. Why the fearsome tweak are they showing Ind-SL analysis when they should have been showing this. Havent seen a single bowl dammit.

The conditions might be bowler friendly but you'd expect a team (especially Australia) too perform much better then this.

If Pakistan are to have any chances of winning it, they will have to get a lead of atleast 250? But we have to get Australia out before 100 to achieve that target. I just hope Butt does not go defensive against Pain.

I'm watching the match live on Ten sports

Meh, I live in the Middle East. Ten Sports did show the first test, and know they are showing the Ind-Sri TEST which btw is over but no we have to see those damn expert analysis from people I have never heard off.

It happens every few years, even NZ had us on the ropes in a test on day 1 in 2000, 5/27, Eng had us gone by lunch in the 97 Ashes too 8/70, even Sachin/Lara etc have struggled in these types of Eng/NZ conditions.

No need to fret though for us Aussies, how many insane bowling days are there in a year of test cricket?? Not that many, sometimes the bowlers have their day and you just have to live with it. Get through it, and you can bet flat batting days await in the future.

It's definitely clear that the batting lacks a plan B, not enough batsmen capable of really shutting up shop. Though it's very true how few top batsmen these days are cast in the mould of a Boycott or a Lawry, but it's always frustrating to see quality batsmen who can't adapt, whether it's dry and dusty conditions, fast and bouncy ones or slippery seaming ones.

Come on Pakistan. We have to get these last two wickets early. Hilfenhaus is looking a lot better than Aussie top order.
