Pakistan v Australia in England, June-July 2010

It's definitely clear that the batting lacks a plan B, not enough batsmen capable of really shutting up shop. Though it's very true how few top batsmen these days are cast in the mould of a Boycott or a Lawry, but it's always frustrating to see quality batsmen who can't adapt, whether it's dry and dusty conditions, fast and bouncy ones or slippery seaming ones.

I agree, though really these sorts of days are so rare that I dont blame the batsmen for not having the game for it when they so rarely need it or even have the capacity to even learn how to play these conditions. If we collapsed 2 or 3 innings in a row like this then I would be worried. Quite happy for the bowlers to have this one, we've dished it out enough over the years after all.

What has worried me is how often our batters get LBW, been happening for quite some time, 2 years I reckon.

I just turned on and I couldn't believe that Australia were on 84-8.

In fact they are now 86-9!

But I still believe Pakistan can somehow lose it.

Australia is all out for 89 runs.

Still I believe Australian bowlers can do something if Pakistani bowlers can produce such bowling.

Pakistan MUST make 200+ here. They have to use this huge advantage if they want to make sure they'll win the game and tie the series. Time for the batsmen to step up for once.

Excellent bowling by all the bowlers, even Amin. Has set up the game very nicely and has made it extremely interesting for the neutral.

The thing that surprises me is that Ponting failed here at Headingley. He had an average of over 100 in three Test matches. He has another chance to make it up though.

I actually first read the line 'Australia won the toss and elected to bat' and I was expecting that they were around 120-0 at this time.

This is the second lowest score of Australia against Pakistan.

But like in the 1st Test I am expecting a fight from Australia.
