Pakistan v Australia in England, June-July 2010

Was expecting Australia to come out all guns blazing but they've been pretty poor to be honest.

Come on Pakistan!

Holy ████ batman! Pakistan need 50 more runs to go in the lead with all wickets remaining....

This has pretty much been England vs Australia here last year. 1 team toothless with the bat and then following that up with a dire showing with the ball. Australia are going to need to do something special if they're going to stay in this one.

I was just wondering something: do photographers take an instant shot of the action during a match or do they capture video and take a snapshot out of it?

For example it's pretty difficult to take this kind of shot. You have to be ready to standby all the time and click directly when the action happens: Michael Clarke played all round an inswinger and was bowled by Umar Gul | Cricket Photo | Cricinfo.com

And cricinfo is enjoying themselves by putting a lot of pictures of the match already in their galleries. There are now around 18 pictures and then the match was only 33 overs old. This is one of them:

even consumer cameras now have the function to take a number of shots within a second.... just click when the bowler releases the ball and you are bound to get that shot....

I guess that's how these professional photographers do? Whenever somebody bowls, make a preset of taking of about 10 pictures in a second and then hope they will get the shot they need?

In that way they must be spending a lot of time taking the right shot.

Hilfenhaus made the breakthrough by taking the wicket of Butt. The upcoming three batsmen are pretty inexperienced and Australia should make use of it.

WTF Mitchell Johnson, he never looks convincing to me with the ball. Always get the feeling he's gonna be leaking runs to the opposition and wastes overs by bowling with the scrambled seam when there's conventional swing on offer.

Nice detail on cricinfo: extra's (18) in the Pakistani batting innings has now scored more than the Australian top scorer( Paine 17)in their innings!:laugh I love it, absolutely love it!

It's seems like 'Extras' want to become the top run scorer. They are already on 21 runs.

Hilfenhaus was bowling good. I don't know what's wrong with Johnson.

Maybe it's time for North again?

Yeah, if he was comfortable enough to play that awful slog, it can't be too bad. However, there were clearly some heavy rain clouds about and it was almost the end anyway.
