Pakistan v Australia in England, June-July 2010

If conditions remain overcast, there is a good possibility that Watson might pick up a five fer and that might help Australia bowling Pakistan out before 250 but they must really bat out of their skins in the 2nd innings to have any chance of winning this match cause a draw is not possible here.

Even when Pakistan used to have the best pace attack in the 90's (Wasim,Waqar,Shoaib) they still couldnt string together test victories, they will always be up and down no matter who is in their team, I really dont see that changing any time soon. Like most teams that are on the lower end of the rankings Pakistan dont have the skills to play on a variety of wickets and excel on what they deem to be their ideal pitch, outside of that they are hopeless. Aamir looks amazing when it swings but bowls pies when its not, similar to Anderson.

^ Aamer is very young. You ought to keep that in mind. He is in the learning phase of his career. Waqar Younis should be able to mold him into a bowler that can bowl in any condition. Aamer has got pace on his side as well. He needs to put on a little muscle and he will be regularly cranking it up to 150KPH. He has already shown his ability to reverse swing in a test against Australia in Australia where he took five wickets.

While I'm quite happy Pakistan rolled the aussies over and may well level the series, it is a shame the game is so one sided after the 1st day. Although that said nothing is won yet as the lead isn't significant, the aussies could still bowl the Pakistanis out for 200-250 and stage a fightback.

Surely the aussies could have managed better than a best partnership of the innings of 20?!? After all that was the opening stand, one of only four into double figures.

Pakistan is the only team that can lose from this situation. But I hope they won't. :)

Wow, Umar Amin needs to take a chill pill, he is batting far too quickly for test match cricket!

Akmal gone, never really looks confident playing defensively, but to be fair to him and Mitchell Johnson, that was a superb delivery. Scrambled seam, but it still moved away off the deck just enough to get the edge. Very good bowling.

If Australia were to win this test match they have to bowl Pakistan out for I would say between 250 and 300, have an incredable second innings and then bowl them out again, Looking at the outfield it was very quick and to consider Australia were 20-0, They should have done better.

Umar Amin looks a very talented player. Got a good solid technique, a good temperament and doesn't feel like he needs to smack the ball to the fence every delivery. He may have scored slowly last night, but as he's got used to the conditions he's begun to look in complete control and has started to play some lovely shots. That last boundary off Johnson was a glorious stroke.

Wow I wonder what the test series score could have been at this moment if Butt was named Captain at the start

Hilfenhaus got a lucky wicket. Not smart to have your bat in the air, while ducking for a bouncer.
