Pakistan vs England in United Arab Emirates - October/November 2015

Oh yes, let's drop the guy with a future and less than a year of failure, and keep the one with no future and 2 years of failure.

I have to say, I got it wrong about Mark Wood. I would have been tempted to bring in Patel for him, but he's bowled brilliantly in Dubai.

Sigh.....watching England is like being on a very child friendly rollercoaster after having a full English breakfast and way too much coffee....you're determined to have a good time but actually you feel quite sick.

Flip me....remember when we had a wicket taking spinner who was tighter than a camel's arse in a sandstorm?

"Rashid, please report to reception; your taxi has arrived..."

Jimmy must be fuming, embarrassed and fuming; tweaking batsman, try to do your feckin job like I do...

This has been a pathetic morning. Test match basically gone.[DOUBLEPOST=1445671899][/DOUBLEPOST]

If we're looking at form in the last few tests then Buttler is the first to be dropped. Taylor comes in for him, but then how many other good players do we have that can come in a do a decent job? I can't think of any.

Form in the last few test?? Come on now, we're talking about the last couple of years. Bell has lost it. Can't bat and can't catch, his two drops far outweighed his scratchy fifty. Time for Taylor to come in.

England have done a pretty fine job in messing this one up. Thank f*** the football is on soon!

And the rugby !

Watching the day's play, it took me back to when I was still a kid, growing up on a steady diet of dogged, iron willed English batsmen (hi Atherton) and fiery Pakistani pace bowlers and leggies. Root is the epitome of a great, young batsman. Aggressive but not reckless, smart but not frugal, steady but not boring, he is iron willed too.

Wahab Riaz, though not striking in the same way good old Wazza was before him, has the knack of hurting opponents (sorry Broad) and getting late swing...and Yasir Shah may just be the cricketer of the year. Brilliant, magical even but I don't want to label him as such just yet ,as that may tarnish the likes of Ajmal, Warne and Murali just a little.

England have really got to get through today's play, lay a foundation for tomorrow. Root and Bell are key here, if they go, England go.

There's probably still some 'England fans' that want Bell to get out.
