Pakistan vs England Jul-Aug-Sep 2010

2 bags taken away by UK police.

And 3 officers took away a Pakistan team player or official taken into an unmarked vehicle.

Did they have problems catching him?

Sorry.

Edit: On a serious note, why are people so surprised at corruption in Pakistani cricket? It's rife within all administrative aspects in all parts of Pakistan. It's one of the most bent countries outside of the Middle East.

Let's put everything together. Kamran Akmal at Sydney?

Then Zulqarnain Haider unceremoniously dropped although he believed he was fit enough? He was barely welcome in the team to be honest.

Younis Khan still out of the team?

Umar Gul 'fit' but not playing?

Shahid Afridi leaving the team?

It's all starting to fit together.

Bans for life are in order. And not the "banned for life but removed after 6 months" type.

Such a shame. I was really looking forward to watching Amir's carear, and now Pakistan look like losing their only remaining test class players, Amir and Asif, if they don't lose test status all together.

Almost ironic that it happens when Umar Gul is not playing. . .

Although they may have only been "cheating" by bowling no balls it seriously raises doubts in the mind of Broad and Trott over how valid their innings were.

It completely discredits anything those not involved have done in this match.

Such a shame for the England team and Pakistani players not involved as it had been a brilliant etst match until this rubbish surfaced. What a flinging bunch of utter s██████s! How can you do that to your team mates, to your country? What a waste of talent, what a waste....

I agree mate. Like the Oval in 06, this test won't be remembered for a remarkable partnership between Broad and Trott or that brilliant spell from Amir yesterday, but instead for what seems like his wrong doings. However we aren't sure of the full extent of what's actually gone on and who's involved so need to not judge and point fingers directly just yet.

Makes you think whether they banned people earlier in the year because they Khan and Yosuf didn't want anything to do with corruption.

Sky Sports News: Believe that a Pakistan player has been taken away by police at 11:00. Team Manager denies that any player has been taken away.

goodbye pakistan.

can't tour there, can't be trusted when someone goes out of their way to give them cricket playing time. I have waxed lyricals about the genius and talent of your bowlers throughout this series but if this is proven true (or even not on some heinous loophole) I never want to see either of them play cricket again.

What a load of shite this team is: utter garbage. Even if they are "just" a few no-balls the game has lost all credibility. I can't see them carrying on tomorrow. Most of the Pakistani players wont get any sleep for a start! I would however love to see the Pakistani players forced to face the Lord's crowd tomorrow.

I can't believe Asif. He goes off the rails, then gets a second chance, makes an epic comeback, only to throw it all away again. And Amir - the brightest talent in world cricket, has his whole life infront of him at 18 and does this. Bunch of absolute twats.
