Pakistan get good support from middle-order

Am I the only one who couldn't get on PC for days?!?!

After a terrible first session, the Pakistani batsmen played very sensibly and started putting up solid partnerships. With Amir and Youhana dominating the English bowlers, things were looking up for Pakistan. But a perfect yorker from Anderson changed all that as Amir was bowled out at the score of 41. At Afridi's arrival, things seemed to be going in England's favor, but Youhana masterfully took strike for as long as possible so that Afridi won't throw his wicket away. But the unthinkable happened when Shahid Afridi hit Giles for a six and then stayed on long enough to carve a wonderful partnership with Youhana, who went on to complete his first half-century of the test series before tea.

Pakistan 206/5 (54 overs) - Tea (Day 1)
Y. Youhana 65*(115) | S. Afridi 34*(27)

You're not the only one nightprowler... many of us also couldnt get on to Planetcricket. And the reason cited is some DOS attacks on the server by some stupid hackers!

Vaughan criticizes Amir's bat

In an interview on Pakistan's very famous TV channel's (Geo TV) show "Match Box", the England Cricket Team's captain Michael Vaughan showed his averseness towards the bat that the ICC have allowed Pakistan's new all-rounder Muhammad Amir to use. The bat's colors (black and red along with a big AC/DC logo) are against the ICC regulations but for some reason the ICC have refused to fine him or stop him in any way from using that bat. To date, nobody from the ICC has issued a statement or made a comment on this issue.

"I don't think I'm wrong in saying this, but it seems to me that Amir should be banned from playing cricket anywhere if he keeps using that bat" said Vaughan during the interview which was done two days before the third test match started. Amir has troubled England in this test series with the bat and the ball, and he has been doing some very consistent hitting with that bat, including a match-winning century in the first test.

A few months back, England's famous tabloid newspaper The Sun reported that members of the famous rock band AC/DC (which includes two English band members) had paid off some of the members of ICC so they could enjoy watching Amir play with a bat that has their band's logo on it. The ICC or members of AC/DC refused to comment on this ridiculous accusation.

If he was performing very poorly...would they still want him banned? What are the regulations about this exaclty?

  1. That the dimensions of the bat should remain the same
  2. That the bat should have a conventional shape
  3. That the splice and handle be clearly defined
  4. That the blade of bat should be made of a single piece of solid wood
  5. That the practice of injecting substances such as cork is to be illegal
  6. That any cover should be used to protect, strengthen and repair the bat and not improve the striking power of the bat
  7. That the bat should remain the colour of natural wood.
And I am not sure Muhammad Amir's bat colour is quite the colour of natural wood.

If i was ICC :

6 month ban on Muhammad Amir

If I was PCB :

I'd tell Vaughan to shut up

If i was Vaughan :

I would stop being an arse

If i was an arse :

I cant comment on that becuz i never will be 1 :p
