I just started using nine 3.0, so I'd like to use it for a while.

Yeah, it sucks that Akhter wont be going on the tour, but we'll be alright.

At the beginning of the second session, West Indies suffered a heavy blow when Gayle played a loose shot towards towards cover and got caught easily by Amir, giving Akhter his first wicket.

After that big loss, Lara and Samuels (the new batsman) played with extreme caution, not giving the bowlers any chances whatsoever. Once settled in, Lara started smacking the Pakistani bowlers around on every bad delivery. Here's one of Lara's fours:

This partnership went well beyond 50 into the sixties and would've gone on longer if it wasn't for one bad call from Samuels that got him runout.

That runout spelled doom for the West Indies, for just 25 runs later Akhter got his second wicket when Lara edged one off to Inzi, who took a great diving catch to get Lara out, who was just 4 runs shy of his half-century.

In the next few overs, WI lost three consecutive wickets, first to go was Banks who got runout (yes, I am using Sam's runout patch), then Drakes who edged Akhtar's delivery while trying to defend against one his bouncers. Next Colleymore lost his wicket on possibly the worst call for lbw I have ever seen in test cricket. The ss' are in order of wickets mentioned:

West Indies were 172/8, and in deep trouble. After a mediocre start, Akhter had had yet another 4-wicket haul. But just when WI fans were fearing a repeat of the last test match, Taylor and Jacobs put up a partnership that made the match very interesting. Taylor, with his trademark extravagant shots, put up some quick runs against all the bowlers. Towards the end of the day, Jacobs was showing signs of aggression as well hitting 10 runs to Sami in the last over of the day. West Indies finished the first day at 242/8. The Jacobs-Taylor partnership is 70 runs strong going into day 2. I am loving this patch. Great job Tutsi, I've never had a team score 200+ runs against me in a test match.

Wouldn't let me post these in the previous post, so here the stats for the day.

Day 2 won't be played till Tuesday.

Very interesting match going on! Tutsi has done us all a big favor by making the CPU play very well. And with Tutsi's patch, I think the test matches would go into the 3rd, 4th or even the 5th days. If Tutsi brings in more improvement in his latest golden patch, then test matches would be real fun to play. I am already loving tests more than one dayers!

I couldn't resist, so I went ahead and finished WI inning.

Well the West Indies are finally all out for 252 runs. Two overs into the first day, Jacobs, who was showing signs of aggression at the end of day 1, tried to hit a big four off of Kaneria, but was caught by Akhter, ending a 73 run partnership.

Taylor edged one off of Amir just a few balls later, but the ball went through the slips and went past the boundary. Taylor had scored his first 50 of the series.

Just a few balls later, Edwards got runout trying to score a second run where there wasn't one, thus ending the inning at 252 all out.

Here the stats from the West Indies first inning:

Pakistan will start play on Tuesday.

252 is a very decent score by the WI. But i still expect you to get a lead of 100+ provided you dont bat really bad

A series of unfortunate events ruined the chances for Pakistan to post a huge lead. First off, after scoring just the first run, it started raining heavily.

The match finally resumed at 2:45 pm, which meant that Pakistan only had over 3 of play left in the day. But losing both of their openers early in the match didn't help matters any. Nazir got bowled out while trying to play a leg-glance off of Edwards, who replaced Dillon from the last match. Then a few overs later, Younis Khan played a cover drive that lofted the ball into the air allowing Drakes to take a comfortable catch.

With Inzi and Malik batting, big runs were expected since Inzamam seemed to be in good form. But the Pakistanis hopes were crushed when Inzi tried to hit one over Lara's head but got caught by the joyful Windies captain.

With Pakistan now at 74/3, things were looking bad for the team. Youhana came in, him and Malik played very defensively, since Pakistan couldn't afford to lose any more wickets at this stage. But after they got settled in, this Youhana-Malik partnership troubled all of the WI bowlers. At the end of Day 2, Pakistan had taken their score to 128/3. Here are the stats from the Pakistani inning. West Indies lead by 124 runs at the moment:

Notice the slow strike rates? A bit more realistic. Day 3 will start sometime tomorrow. Its turning into a very interesting match.
