Patch 3 Requests/Wishlist

Very minor thing - is there any chance of swapping around the button mapping when downloading teams from the academy? My reflexes always go to press A/:psx:, which goes to rate the team - rather than the download button, which is the odd Y/:pst:. I suppose there's the threat of people downloading teams they don't want, but there's confirmation before overwriting anything.

Just going through getting some of blocker's teams, and accidentally going to rate them every time.

You could always just rate them... Extremely highly. Like 11

Independent batting/bowling levels.

Would love to bat at pro level, but with the AI bowling at legend level, wish this was switchable. I find it's a double whammy moving up levels as the AI ability exponentially increases too. I'm fine batting at pro with the AI bowling at pro, but when I want to make them bowl better, I have to bat at a harder level too.....frustrating.

It would be fantastic if we could have an option to save the Interactive Replay instead of having to use a screen recorder/camera.

i would love for the AI to be more attacking, and actually win some matches. most of the time the ai does not try to win, it leaves the ball, or defends a lot.

You've obviously not been following the patch thread. By all accounts this has been improved on.

Still the biggest issue for me is the AI batsmen giving their wicket away. The cut shot to balls that are hitting the stumps and catches at mid-on/off being the main offenders. This issue completely ruins the bowling experience and now that run-outs have been increased although this is a good thing, it is just another way for the AI to give their wicket away rather than a feeling of having earned it.

AI batting needs to be reconfigured so that flat bat shots are only played to deliveries which are missing the stumps. Anything that is going on to hit the wickets or just a fraction wide of off should be either a drive or played with a straight bat.

Similarly the amount of aerial drives needs to be massively reduced therefore reducing the cheap wickets to mid-on/off.

Sort these two issues out and the bowling experience improves tenfold.

It's so disappointing that grounded shots are in the minority in DBC especially considering Bradman was a batsman famous for keeping the ball on the deck. This area must be improved upon in the next iteration.

Are there still plans to bring a ball speed "slider" to allow us, folks with poor reflexes, to face fast bowlers on Veteran and Legend without pre-meditating the shots?

Isn't it the reason, why we have Amateur & Pro Mode, so that who find it difficult (Pre-Meditate) to play on Veteran & Legend, can play without any problem?

Although the Rookie and Amateur modes make life a bit easier, I still occassionally find myself struggling to choose the right shot against the faster bowlers (> 120 kmph). So the slider is something I'm looking forward to too.

Yes, but along with it also comes a very amateur AI. I would like to play against a competitive AI, but just that the fast bowler bowling speeds be lower.

There's definitely some sense in that. The reason people choose lower difficulty levels is to have more chance of batting and bowling well. I'm sure they don't want AI that has no clue to go with that. I don't think people on lower levels are afraid of losing against smart AI. I think they just want a better chance of hitting a 4 or getting a wicket.

I mostly play ODI's on Legend and Tests on Veteran, but getting better slowly.

I pre-meditate all my shots (as I'm sure many others do) on Veteran and still achieve a lot of success. The problem is not that the harder difficulties are beyond our capabilities to do well in. It's just that there's little realism in me playing a leg clip to a wide half volley outside off stump or attempting a front foot drive against a bouncer which all happen because I have to pre-meditate all my shots.
