Patch 3 Requests/Wishlist

just on that though....the more I play with AI (batting partners) the more flaws I see unfortunately. I'm playing as an opener with Qld and Khawaja can't wait to get himself out...playing all sorts of rash shots in the 4 day game...wtf? yet when I'm out and it gets simulated, he scores huge 100s and 200s at a 'normalised' strike rate. Suddenly we're 4-40 on a regular basis.

That's a big problem and has put a lot of the guys off the single player mode including myself. It wasn't as much of an issue prior to patch 2, AI used to play a "normal" innings of 100 from 120-30 balls more often than not but now all they try to do is hit it all over the ground at 200 strike rate no matter what the format you're playing in and the funny part is they actually succeed in doing so. Dont even get me started in tailend AIs bradmanisque ability with the bat and broken online play.

Big Ant have been communicating with us for the last 2 and a bit years...

true but where do we stand now? this thread was started in July last year...not very long and thats fine. All i'm asking is 'what is happening?'...its because I see posts about NRL 3 or whatever new games are being developed and I know BA isn't EA, so they have limited resources. I'm cool with all of that however I'd like to know if Patch 3 is it...and DB15 (say) will have all the suggested changes and more....I'm fine with all of that...but I'd like to know. There's nothing wrong with communicating a 'state of play'. Other devs do it and I know BA have been excellent so far with comms but I'm trying to get some feedback from them.

What's happening:

Don Bradman Cricket coming to PS4 and Xbox One in February 2015 – PlanetCricket

Apart from the obvious changes we've listed over and over, one thing that annoys me is the lack of proper integration of random stats showing up on-screen ie:

- When batsmen come in to bat in a test match it shows their S/R and not their Average? Makes absolutely no sense.
- Is there any place where you can see how many boundaries have been hit during an innings?
- When a bowler comes in for a new spell, show a summary of his bowling stats for the previous spell
- Relevant stats pertaining to a particular series, innings ie, in a 3-test series show SERIES stats, leading wicket taker, most runs etc
- Inning highlights? After an innings is completed why not show the dismissals as a highlights package?
- If a batting team is placed under severe pressure for an extended period of time, show "last boundary hit X number of balls ago"
- Just relevant, immersive stats that are applicable to current match setting will add to the atmosphere.

Most of the above points is likely to be added in next iteration hopefully as this version surely lacks in stats department...

Oh another thing....in a test match the scorecard shows the amount of overs left in the entire MATCH. I don't understand why this is included, unless BA included it as some sort of maths mini-game so that we can try an figure out ourselves how many overs are left in the day.

I can't think of any single instance ever where I wanted to know the amount of overs left in an entire 5-day test.

I have not seen that but if its there then that needs to be corrected for sure...
Maybe @fiction can clear this doubt...

One thing I would like is to say use Right Bumper button to select the speed I want before the shot say 1 click for slow 2 clicks for fast and a little on screen icon just to inform me

I ask this as when you come to spin to try and add any difference in speed for me is next to impossible

Try as I might I get all finger and thumb tied :noway

I'm not quite clear. Do you want the 'speed' thingy in R1 while playing a shot so you can knock the ball around, or you want it for adjusting speed while bowling spin?

Well on fast bowlers you have the ability to do a slower or faster ball on run up so I am presuming you could adjust speed to slower or faster flight, drift etc. on any spin shots?

But obviously you have such a short run and your spinning the LS to add revs that I struggle to tap either to bumper buttons to alter speed after it leaves my hand.

So just having the Right Bumper of 1 or 2 clicks before you bowl and a small icon to reflect the choice of speed.

I do even mind if this is only selectable just on spin?

No if that wasn't possible to start with then please include it as I am sure I was watching the Aussie Nathan Lyons facing India just gone adding different speeds to his ball once released regardless of revs he did?

You can't adjust your bowling speed as a spinner - except for choosing the different deliveries - like the slider being faster than the other deliveries.
