This player retention thing is one of the main reasons why the IPL will not really be taken seriously outside of India. How are the fans expected to keep a hold of which player is on which team, when the majority of players would have played for 3 teams in the last four seasons (after 2014). Pretty much why I gave up following the IPL after the third year.
----------
Interesting that Vettori is now supposedly coaching one of the teams, guess thats the end of his NZ career.

I'm pretty sure the retention policy does exactly the opposite of what you said it does. How can an fan be loyal when the players shuffle around teams so often?
Oh... So you don't even want any shuffling? Thats something I would want to. But with new teams constantly being added and ejected, its something that I've come to live with.

honestly as much as i like badri and would like him to get a test cap before he retires, i personally think he would hav performed much better in SA than rohit.
I always see him as a liability in ipl, cant bowl, isnt the the quickest on field, slow rate ,i would accept the slow rate if he was a crisis man, but he hardly performs when wickets tumble, but slows down the juggernaut when everything runs fine.

if only csk can sign in steyn
Badri not quick on the field? Well tell me, which Badri are you talking about? As in Subramaniam Badrinath?
Well if yes, he is one of CSK's quickest fielders in the circle. He has always been a very agile and an excellent fielder in domestic cricket.

Manan Vohra is a legend by now. -_-
What do you expect when you have Preity Zinta as the team owner? KXIP has always been about zero logic in every auction/every IPL squad selection.
