Well we beat Canada 81-6 on this game. No way Gareth Jenkins could be coach! lol
P.S. In real life, we finally sacked him after the Fiji game...about time to!
England showed a fabulous performance with a victory over South Africa and this gave the group an interesting twist and means that South Africa cannot slip against USA or they will face an early elimination. Samo faced defeat against a strong Tongan side. The contest that remains is England still have to play Tonga and Samoa. Defeat against either side will not go down well.
Player of the Pool
17 points and an awesome kicking game, Jonny
This pool saw a major upset that set Australia back. It was Wales winning their second and third games, this victory means the quarter finals will currently be Australia vs South Africa and England vs Wales. The unbeaten Fiji may have something to say about this yet though.
PLAYER OF STAGE
Another solid stage and Hook scored 1 try against Australia and 3 against Japan. Awesome play from the fly half.
New Zealand demoltion was the way of this stage. 110 points to nothing and 13 tries including 3 form Howlett, Rocokoco and McCaw. Scotland seeked revenge after their defeat to Portugal by winning and Italy also won their match.
Hatrick hero McCaw produced an awesome game to put the favourites in a 110-0 position
France led the round with a demolishing victory over Ireland. 50-10 is a huge win and when you smash a side that are as good as Irealand it shows form. The French back ran the ball well and played fluent rugby that showed they had serious potential to produce magic at home in this world cup.
Chabal 'the caveman' a monster it has to be said
