Politics Discussion (India)

The best decision I ever took in recent times is stop following politics (Indian Politics).
Hate and abuse increased all over the social media platforms. Earlier social medias used to follow "Express your views without hurting the sentiments of others". These days no matter how gentle you express your views, your comments in return you receive hate and abused words on you, your family. Even some search your social media handles for your portraits and post them on various comments sections with wrong statements :( .

Country with largest no of youths running / behaving as IT cells for political parties instead raising their voice for their needs. That result can be seen in so called Democratic Country India.

I have also done the same.

I guess a coalition government will came to power in 2024. i'm guessing that from result of last few polls.
UP is the key to lok sabha if bjp fails to win UP in next year and in 2024 then they are out of power.

Don't know how much coverage this might be getting in India.

No coverage at all. Most of the media supports the govt. So negative publicity is not done.

But Twitter is flooding with the demands for the probe. And we all know that Amit Shah won't allow it because he seem to be involved in this.

It is also said that politics is dirty. That's why not everyone ventures to study it or to be interested in it. Just take a look at this article https://calgaryherald.com/news/poli...rek-fildebrandt-wont-be-allowed-back-into-ucp, and you will find out what I'm talking about. The same story, corruption, launder money even if we talk about Indian politics or USA politics. I'm disappointed in any politicians. Would you mind showing me a guy in politics who you admire?

If you belong to the Indian sub-continent, it doesn't matter whether or not you study it. I have a few friends in diplomatic services and its a pity to see them suffer at the hands of uneducated persons holding key ministerial portfolios.

I can state for India, you just need to be born in a political family in order to take forth your ambitions.

I'm just wondering....are we ever gonna see fuel prices go back to pre-covid rates (Rs.70-75/litre)? I think not. That would mean a reduction of 30% or more from the current price and that is stuff that one can only dream of.

The key is that the public seem to have gotten adjusted to the inflated prices, so that is an added incentive to keep it going at the same rate.

After a while there is something to discuss.

Supreme Court of India orders independent probe into Pegasus Scandal. Sets up committee which will have to submit report in the next hearing after 8 weeks.

Golden Words by CJI during the hearing, "Govt. cannot give excuses of national security everytime and get over with it".

Hey sorry to quote after a long time but the fuel prices are also an issue here in US. We used to get fuel at $1.90-$2/ gallon (3.78 liters for 150 rs for Indian peeps). The price here has reached $3.85(3.78 liters for 288 rs) I know compared to India its still cheaper but I used to fill up my gas tank previously for $40 a week which is not almost $90. That is a lot of money for gas per week when you have two cars. Between myself and my wife we are spending $700 a month on fuel now!
