If you are not the captain, then I don't think you can control that.

I think the AI by default tries to send in the bowler with the highest attributes.

Is it possible to change the playing role in career mode? My players is a pure batsman and is doing well in his career. He was installed as a captain for Aus/Ind domestic sides after playing some impressive knocks with the bat. Now, being the captain of the team, I tried my hand on bowling. I was pretty much happy with my bowling with economy rate of 5.00 with loads of wickets which includes couple of 5 wickets-haul. I want to change my playing role to batting-allrounder. My current bowling rating is 1. Do my rating get higher if I bowl well?

Can someone help me in how do I go about fixing the players names to their real ones.

Once you start a career, you cannot change your role from one to other. So, if you are a batsman, you will remain batsman.
And for your last question, I dunno the answer.

Go to Don Bradman Academy from the main menu, select Teams, then select Online Community. Now use custom search to search for the teams you want. Press the Y-button to download the team. When prompted, replace the existing players.

Another way to do it is to select My Teams instead of Online Community, bring the selection down to the team you want to edit and press the update button (right bumper probably).

There is yet another road that you can take if you don't want to download anything. After bringing the selection to the team you want to edit, press A, then select Roster, select the players one by one and press A to edit them.

The game is locked to 16:9 so it won't be possible to set your monitor to play the game without the black boxes.

With the small size of the PC market, with the even smaller subset on ultrawide monitors, it's not yet justifiable to put the work into the changes that would be needed to the game to make it utilise the whole screen. Maybe as they become a bit more common that could happen - it was also part of one of the stretch goals for the Dirt Track kickstarter, so if someone has a few hundred thousand to drop, it'd be a certainty .

Can't say anything at this stage - at least until someone drags a quote out of @Ross - certainly one of the things being looked at though.

Playing for international team as captain on pro level on a PS3 in career mode.

Settings: Captain, Opening Batsmen, Pro level, PS3

Question: When my team is batting (and I am usually still in from opening) my team always seems to declare when pass 550, happens every time. Sometimes the game seems to crash then fix itself and I am then declared. I would think as the captain I would get this option to declare team. Happened again last night when I was batting first, declared on 550, then opposition went on to score 800? Very irritating as hoping to get a really high score and always restricted by the declaration. Also my team score and declaration is often on the first day of the test as I score quickly, get bored and play like one day match.

Any ideas.
