Sorry if this has been asked earlier

Has Ross revealed something on the animation system of the game..?
I've always been disappointed with the animation systems of previous cricket titles.
EA was good, BLC 2007 batting animations were ok but then nothing completely satisfactory. :(

Once again apologizing if this has been asked repeatedly :)

Well, he said they will use the same methods as their last game rugby league live 2, so go check some videos on youtube. They're pretty smooth and cohesive so I think it will work! There will be many different actions for each type of bowler.

ya i've seen RLL 2.
the graphics and animation system looks great (even features sweat and dirt on clothes)
cricket wouldn't require a collision system but the collision system in RLL2 is good too.

still, would be cool to have that kinda detail in a cricket game. :)

By all accounts he's said things have moved on since RLL2 too, with regards to the engine, and at least the player creation function.

Graphics and detail in CA is great, all the gear looks really good. Rugby League and such games may look a bit messy sometimes with so many bodies in motion, cricket *should* look even smoother.

will there be preorder bonus or a special version with added stuff at a higher price.
Something like the game comes in a silver small cricket bat, you open it to find the game and other stuff.:thumbs

I'm sure the 5 people that would buy it would be thrilled with that.
Possibly with a second edition. Remember this is big ants 1st cricket release. It's quite risky spending extra cash on an unproven title.

We're not building from the ground up or using a brand new engine, this will be game #5 using the same base.

Are you counting the GOTY AFL Live in that or is there a game I've missed?

Do you expect to be able to transition the base over to the next-generation of consoles, or will there be a big change needed that may make less of an obvious feature improvement for the first edition on the new consoles?

It means Bigant are experienced with use of this engine and know its ins and outs. They will fully utilize it imho.

So can we safely assume that the animations would be somewhat similar (though not arcadey obviously) to the ones seen in Table Top Cricket???

Totally different, TTop is over the top animation.

We are already working on ps4 and "Durango" titles.

Another doubt about running between wickets in the game :

I've read that the non-striker is controlled by the AI and it would resist a run, if its fatigued or if it calculates it can't make the run.
But what about taking risks. Lets assume a close match, its the final ball and you have to take 2 runs to win and the AI rejects to run just because it feels tired. I believe that would be frustrating.

Or maybe I understood it wrong.

Would be nice if someone could clear this up.

Ross has already confirmed that the AI will run in this case. The AI will assess the match situation and will accordingly decide whether to run or not. Infact, I would not be surprised if on the last ball, the AI 'will' run whether you run or not :P

ai would be leaving the crease early when the bowler is in the run up in such scenario. HOPEFULLY
