Update for CA. There would not be any playable demo for this game....it has been confirmed by Ross a lot many times!

ummm, what? We've given the privilege to create players before the game is released so we can use them straight away. Has nothing to do with excitement over playing the game!

Hi, I used to be quite an active member of PC but drifted away from it last year. Anyway I was reading through this forum and had a couple of questions.. Apologies if these have already been asked/answered, I may have missed it.

Are there any plans to release Cricket Academy on Macs? I live in an 'apple' household so I've not had access to it as of yet?

Then Part B to that question, is the entire Cricket Academy going to be part of the disc game? Or will it remain external, similar to how EA use Creation Centre for the FIFA series.

Thanks in advance, and I'm looking forward to pre-ordering this game as soon as a date is announced.

I think I can answer both question.

1. MAC version of CA is not available.

2. CA will be part of the whole cricket game. Hope that helps.

Oh that was a quick reply, thanks for letting me know. That's a shame though, I'm not much of an expert but I can't imagine it takes a lot of effort to port a piece of software from Windows to Mac?

Sorry, Apple Mac's are not in the plan at the moment.

It is likely that the Cricket Academy will overtake the functionality of that available in the Console versions however we do plan to keep them up to date via patches. Cricket Academy player files are designed to be readable into the Console version even after upgrades to the Cricket Academy occur, in that sense it is very much like the "Creation Centre".

I am running the cricket academy on the windows partition of an imac and it runs flawlessly. I am hoping the full game would run on the mac too this way. So if you can find a windows copy for cheap (a student version) you should install it on your mac. It is a simple process using bootloader in mac. Search online for the process.

I am sure you will able to get full functions on the consoles versions, otherwise you can always purchase a windows and install on your MAC!

You seem to be still very convinced that Ashes 2013 won't be appearing on June 21st or am I reading that wrong?
