What camera view to do you prefer?

Well personally I use the 'Behind Batsman Far' camera for batting and 'Broadcast' camera for fielding.

I'll just rephrase what I said because it is confusing lol. I am pushing the the right stick towards the pitch of the ball in broadcast. Sometimes it plays defensive and sometimes it doesn't. Are you supposed to hold the right trigger down the whole time?

No need to apologise, my manner of explaining wasn't great. Haha, I guess i'm used to that view from the previous games. What view to do use and why?

My preferred view would be Pro cam because I like to feel that I am actually playing cricket, not just watching it, but I hate the way my batsman's head moves when at the non strikers end. It makes me feel quite sick.
I now use Close camera so that I can play the game without having a bucket next to me. ;)

Haha. Interesting. Might be easier picking the gaps in the field too.

I prefer using far bowler. I have tried using the rest, I just feel more comfortable with it, and I feel that I have that extra millisecond to pick the footwork and shot direction. But, I have realised, when your at bat, do not let anything distract you.....nothing.....the game does not pause, whatever you want to say to me pauses, untill the shot is played :lol

Definitely requires constant awareness and concentration. I find it funny that a few people I know really criticize the difficulty and unforgiving nature of the batting but I remember them also saying they wanted a really hard cricket game that felt like real cricket after playing the previous abominations of cricket games.

No complains from me. I love the fact that it's difficult. I'm not very good at it but I keep coming back to the game in an effort to improve.

A great addition to the patched version is the ability to go into the nets between games and practice a certain shot and get skill points for it....you get a maximum of 60 balls per session to improve a certain area of your game.

Yeah, Ross (@BigAntStudios) has already stated categorically that there's no predefinition or scripting, so I'm certain it's not that.

It's not something that happens every time, which is why I wondered if there's an "upper hand" or momentum deal going between the bowler and the batsman. It's also entirely possible that it's just the frustration of having missed one (or been hit by one) messing up my reactions for the next couple.

To put it another way, I often find if I can get one away well for a boundary, it seems easier to hit the next few as well.

So you are trying to say that the game will identify that I am frustrated because of the hit and bowl an extra ordinary next ball to get my wicket. I would like to clarify I am not the one taking the hit. Thats an animated figure which is doing what control I use at waht time. I don't think frustration or any other feeling come s into picture here.

No, I'm trying to say that I get frustrated, and that frustration then leads me to play badly.

If you're not experiencing feelings playing the game, then you're doing it wrong.

I am not saying that I am not getting frustrated. Even I feel the game too :). So you are saying that our frustration will lead us to play a wrong shot.

Let me tell you some of my experience with this.

Initially when I started playing the game, once I get hit I will try to play the next ball correctly but the ball will somewhat deceive me and take my wicket. I was in an opinion that was a wrong shot from me.

Later I started to notice that batsman will get hit and in the next couple of balls he will be out. I chnaged my opinion that the batsman is tired and he is playing shots late or missing the ball.

Next time I started to press the Right Direction button to see the fatigue of the batsman once he gets hit, but there was no difference in fatigue or confidence. Even then he was out in the next ball or two.

Finally I decided to defend all the upcoming balls in that over or from that bowler after the hit to avoid getting out. But luckily it will take the edge and go to the keeper.

Now, I can bet and say to the friend sitting beside me that I am gonna loose a wicket in this over after getting hit from the bowler, no matter what I do. And it happens as I say. If there is a mid on/off, he will take a diving catch, or the long on/off will take a running catch even if I play a regular shot (without pressing L2) or the keeper will take regulation catch. if nothing works out I will be bowled by a spinner where I play the same straight drive for the spinner and the ball will go beneath the bat.

So, I hope you can understand I have gone through all the situations here. I am awaiting for the Patch 2 to see whether there is any change made to these sequences.

For international matches, is the bowling aid meant to disappear? I know its meant to be harder but Im either bowling no balls or bowling off 25 yards

Yeah it takes a while to get used to. You have to look at the animations and feel intuitively how the bowler starts his bowling stride in time and release the ball depending on the length you are looking for as the front foot comes down....you can find a marker on the pitch near the bowling crease to aid you.....I can now get it perfect each time by just feeling when it is time to start the last stride.....the problem with the hud is that it distracts from the actual bowler so when you play without the hud it takes time to adjust your focus....
