Is there a "momentum" system for the confidence effects? That is, if I miss a couple (which bumps his confidence and drops mine), does it make the next shot harder?

I've noticed that once I've missed (usually playing a pull, which often means I wear the ball) I often get out on the next ball, I'm trying to work out if it's just because of me.
No momentum system.

I'd recommend contacting Steam Support as that is something not handled on our side.

Defensive shots!

I'm just a little confused with the way in which the defensive shots are to be played. With my career player I am constantly getting out when I try to block the ball and instead It will play an attacking shot and i get caught. However, sometimes it will block, out of nowhere. Frustrating the hell out of me. For instance if i want to play a forward defensive shot i press the left stick towards me, right stick towards me and hold the trigger, am i doing something wrong there? Thanks!

Are you using broadcast camera when batting by any chance?

Why are you pressing the sticks towards yourself? A forward defensive shot would be:
LS towards the pitch of the ball, RS in the direction you want to play the shot. The right trigger is held down during this process.

Hence my question above you. Because if he's using broadcast camera then he may think you have to push them backwards/towards himself.

This is what I meant. I'm pulling the left analogue stick towards myself(towards the pitch of the ball in broadcast mode).

Yeah, broadcast man.

BINGO!

You need to invert the batting controls for broadcast camera.

I'll just rephrase what I said because it is confusing lol. I am pushing the the right stick towards the pitch of the ball in broadcast. Sometimes it plays defensive and sometimes it doesn't. Are you supposed to hold the right trigger down the whole time?

Apologies. I've never played in broadcast camera. Why would you want to play that way?;)

No need to apologise, my manner of explaining wasn't great. Haha, I guess i'm used to that view from the previous games. What view to do use and why?

Maybe one of your triggers are broken. Whenever I've wanted to play a defensive shot it plays one without fail. just remember to hold the trigger down.

This could be the issue. It could be to do with the ability of my career player to because it's astronomically different controlling the shots in a casual match. What camera view to do you prefer? Thanks for the help guys!
