PS3/360 Versions Troubleshooting/Bug Reporting

@MattW how do I install the game to hard drive? (Xbox) the disk is permanently in the machine so I may as well do that than risk damaging the disk.
On the main dashboard screen when you have the disc in, highlight the game and then press the X button and an install option will pop up. More details here.

You still need to have the disc in the drive to prove ownership, but it will just do a quick spin up and do a check for the disc and then run the rest off the hard drive.[DOUBLEPOST=1411299594][/DOUBLEPOST]
Since I bought this game, is there a way that I can do a download through the xbox store through a code or something?
Nope. How long ago did you buy the game? I think the discs usually have a 90 day warranty or something and you might be able to contact the distributor and get it swapped.

I bought it the very first day it released in India!! :(...

Still, might be worth contacting the distributor - the details are
Thanks Matt.. Will check with them..

Quick question, I see a purchase of Rs.2999 and download of 1.9GB through XBOX.. if I do that, does it mean I don't need a CD post that? Can be lessons learnt for me in future to wait for a soft copy version rather than depend on a piece of hardware..

If it's a physical damage issue then there is not much I can do. Are there DVD repair shops in India?

In any case, let me know via PM tomorrow and I will see what I can work out for you.

PS: I have had so many disks over the years that get scratched by the X360 and are rendered useless - it's a known fault :(

That would mean you'd own a digital copy of the game and wouldn't need a disc. But worth checking what other options you have before buying again.

Thanks Ross.. I will check with the guy near my house tomorrow.. Would keep you posted!

Forgot to mention that I had a few beautiful straight drives past the bowler, looked fab...But the edges off normal shots is something that's making me not enjoy the game as I used to...Sad but true at the moment, thinking of deleting the new patch and play the air borne shots, atleast I am happy playing that ....

I seemed to enjoy the patch 2.5 so much! It was just brilliant and the game became perfect!!! In fact, just before my unfortunate DVD going blank, I had my cousin beautifully caught of slips to a shot he shouldn't have played... it was a loopy off break, going away from Jadeja.. he played a drive away from body, nicked and pouched by slips!! Was just WOW... just before that over, my cousin played that shot and it went to the place where the slips should have been there.. Then, I stationed the slips, waited for him to make a mistake and boy o boy, wicket taken..

So by installing it am I reducing the risk of damage? And in your opinion, is it better to remove the game from the Xbox when not in use or just leave it in? DB14 is the only game I play on Xbox.

Yeah the game would be great to Co op play but against AI, they don't get an edge towards slips...Even a mistimed shots and taking an out side edge to boundary would make me feel good....

Hi BigAntStudios,

Great work on the new patch.

I've continued playing my career along with offline 1-on-1 game with a buddy.

So, far it looks better than the previous version(post patch 2). Here are the few things I noticed:
1) It's now feasible to grind out long innings thanks to the reliable defensive shots.
2) Bowling is something I'll redo in my head. Most of my wickets used to come via c&b but given the straight drive is now finally here, I don't get c&b dismissals as often which is actually fine. I'll now have to start focusing on slips etc.
3) Given the changes in how more shots go along the ground, I've started setting custom fields a lot more than I used to and try to bowl to my fields. Feature Request: Can we have an option to save custom fields?

So far, the patch has given me more confidence while batting (which was something I was very desperate for) and more challenges while bowling.

However I've a bug to report: (@fiction )
So, this one time I make a batsman play n miss a few and on the last ball of the over extracted one of those new leading edge to gully. Given it went to gully and not the WK, I didn't feel the need to appeal for a catch. Before I realised that AI isn't appealing/celebrating by itself and I need to manual appeal, it was too late. The game moved on to the next animation of fielder throwing the ball back to stumps and d-pad Up just didn't work. I couldn't appeal. After how in my head and in the game I set up the batsman and finally making him edge one, it hurt real bad when I couldn't appeal for an obvious catch to gully/point.

I wish I had recorded for you guys to see it but I was busy consoling myself with posts I had read here about how these bugs make you realise it's just a game and I need to get on with it. But it hurt sooo bad.

Can you guys have somebody look into this?

PS: This was on PS3 in career mode 4-day FC game.

@MuchMore I agree that it would be good to be able to save the fields you use during a game, as it would save you the trouble of creating them in the academy first before you play. The amount of times I've made little changes and then had to come out of career to set them up has begun to get annoying.

Add to my above post the fantastic edges I'm getting now mean I make quite a lot of small changes in the different formats

I'm finding the new patch great, not getting many edges, I started a new career and had a few low scores but then hit my all time best of 265, I think i probably edged 3 or 4 during the innings off normal shots but got away with them all, no-one at gully or third slip. The amount of edges felt about right.

Maybe you've got a timing issue which didn't show up before this patch. I could noway go back to those horrible aerial shots every time, makes me shudder to think of it.

I am enjoying batting so much now and usually only get out when I feel I have done something wrong, which is the way it should be. Did get a couple of awful lbw's though which really peed me off, but then you think it's quite realistic because you get them now and then in real cricket.

Only one major gripe for me now batting wise is the ai bowling too straight or legside, but that will obviously be sorted in patch 3

Thanks again Bigant loving it.
