PS3/360 Versions Troubleshooting/Bug Reporting

Yes, in casual mode.[DOUBLEPOST=1411366455][/DOUBLEPOST]

Free-hits don't exist in Pro-40 I'm pretty sure - the settings in the academy will confirm this.
Well, I won't be making that mistake again, then :facepalm Thanks for the info!

Anyone having differing experiences with AI field settings based on match type and difficulty?

I find T10, Pro 40 and customised match formats on Pro level are more prone to ridiculous field settings - like the AI putting in 4 slips and no one beyond silly mid on and mid off and not plugging gaps when you keep smashing 4's.

In 50 over matches the settings seem a little better. In veteran difficulty, the AI seems to close gaps and set run saving fields.

Yeah that's there in the game even in the 35 overs I have seen that...I think that will be rectified in next patch hopefully...

I'm finding the new patch great, not getting many edges, I started a new career and had a few low scores but then hit my all time best of 265, I think i probably edged 3 or 4 during the innings off normal shots but got away with them all, no-one at gully or third slip. The amount of edges felt about right.

Maybe you've got a timing issue which didn't show up before this patch. I could noway go back to those horrible aerial shots every time, makes me shudder to think of it.

I am enjoying batting so much now and usually only get out when I feel I have done something wrong, which is the way it should be. Did get a couple of awful lbw's though which really peed me off, but then you think it's quite realistic because you get them now and then in real cricket.

Only one major gripe for me now batting wise is the ai bowling too straight or legside, but that will obviously be sorted in patch 3

Thanks again Bigant loving it.

Have had edges but what is happening is that I am not able to play freely and enjoy the game as before the patch because getting edges is always back of my mind....

Timing issue is better when I play on the offside as its my preferred zone so legside shots might have a bit off timing but overall I love the game but not enjoying it at the moment....May be I will try to change my strategy....

I think the first thing you need to do is change difficulty level. If you're playing on legend and reporting these problems then, well what do you expect? - its the highest difficulty. Playing on pro I'm definitely getting less edges when I'm batting, without a doubt. And the edges don't always mean instant death - I've had a couple pass through gaps in the slips and even an edge that went for four.

When bowling I'm getting slightly more edges, and they are more varied too - going from the wicketkeeper all the way round to gully and varying heights.

To be honest I don't understand why you think the game is not as good with the new patch - its completely turned things around as far as Im concerned.

I also agree. The game seems a lot more balanced since the patch. I am only playing on pro and still if you get your footwork wrong you are in trouble, but I haven't edged anything over the weekend. Although now after saying that I will probably be terribly out of form from today and edge everything. That is the beauty of this game, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, just like real life.

I have been playing on legend from the day I bought the game, so I am used to playing on that....Its not like I am not scoring runs I got a 50 as well, and have played some beautiful cover and straight drives...Loved them, even had grounded pull shots which we wanted as well...The patch has made the game a lot better but the edges could have been reduced for normal shots and increased for aggressive shots...
[Note: This is just my view regarding the edges, most have given positive review on the patch]

can you tell for what shots you are getting edges and against which bowling etc A video too if possible would show your problem better

This game is so immersion that we are getting coaches that want to analyse ones batting to help you score runs. That is just unheard of in a game and absolutely brilliant. That just again shows how great this game is.

lol, adit helped me with batting tips when i was struggling at the start of the game...so just reciprocating[DOUBLEPOST=1411370468][/DOUBLEPOST]

ya the underlying system in the game is certainly deep and immersive...i cant find another sports game to compare to it in terms of depth.

Sorry about grammar errors. It's the damn predictive text.[DOUBLEPOST=1411370579][/DOUBLEPOST]Another thing I noticed is that people from different countries and different walks of life gets to know one another.

Hmm. Maybe you gotta develop a defensive mindset. Have your finger on the RT and play your shots from there. See a wide ball - let go of RT and go after it. Reactions not quick enough? Oh well - you end up playing a defensive shot or push which has a lower probability of getting out on (the best thing about this patch, and possibly the best thing since sliced bread). Another ball faced, another snippet of confidence gained. And your wicket still intact.

Have I mentioned how good it is to see the risk of getting out on defensive shots reduced now? Seriously, it like giving this game a zap with a defibrillator. Whoever thought of this at BigAnt give them Australian of the Year.

Mostly on cover drives...Outswing and cover drive can get edges which is acceptable but got edge off an inswing on the mid stump which I hit to mid off [this one is not acceptable]...I am a gamer who likes challenge in a cricket game for sure but some are not acceptable...Another instance is bowler's doosra which I read and played on the off to extra cover area, but edged that too, its like playing defensive is a must at the highest level...Getting out on playing the right shot with the right timing is what's I am unhappy with....I surely welcome the addition of more edges to the game but some need tweaking...

I don't get why you just don't drop down a difficulty level or two if youre struggling. Maybe Im missing something...

Those wide ball only I get edged, that's the problem...Bowl to the stumps very comfortable to play shots...Sometimes the ball is really good that it feels worth getting out off like this one time bowler bowled inswing outside off and seeing the ball come into the left hand played a straight drive and edged to WK [Felt really good even on getting out]...

I just feel that they have tweaked the foot movement and the bat face a bit in the patch, maybe that's the reason for those many edges...As I always look into the awesome interactive replay to see the way it edged and I saw the foot goes a bit far than the selected control foot work...Same way like @grkrama posted a video of batsman going away from the stumps for a defensive shot played...[DOUBLEPOST=1411371654][/DOUBLEPOST]

That is absolutely true...Getting to know people through a game that has made us discuss so much is new and that feels good as well....:D :thumbs
