Too bad it was ruled out for offside. A rather common occurrence for the opposition at the Nou Camp.

Basically the role of a tough tackling DM has now started to expire. Even Mourinho at RM is using Khedira and Alonso as dual ball distributors but has taken Lass out. The tough tackling ability can be provided by Pepe should the need arise. Even Coentrao our super utility player does not play as a destroyer when used as a DM.

And Busquets is the first name that would get into his spot in a World XI as far as I am concerned. Coming from a RM fan, that carries a lot of weight.

As long as Spain and Barca remain the premier international and club teams that role of the DM will remain very relevant, since having such a player in the opposition mid-field to disrupt the passing game of those mid-fields will be key to defeating them.

Yes for specific games and ties, there might still be a requirement for the traditional DMs. But from an entire's season point of view, I think the distributors are more useful and effective.

Barcelona won confidently against Napoli with 5-0 and it could have been easily more then 10-0. A big worry for Napoli is that they started with their normal starting line up. With Barcelona almost the whole squad played a bit.

Real Madrid won also today 2-1 against Galatasaray after being behind with 0-1.

Both teams are in form and are really would like the competition to start, but again a strike is looming for upcoming weekend.

Some European top team really should sign Marco Fabian. Here are his two goals against Barcelona. It was only a friendly and Barcelona squad was far from complete from the normal line up, but still. They lost 1-4 that match against Chivas and it was the biggest defeat of Guardiola.

A new video has emerged of Mourinho. He seems to be stepping on Fabregas' head:

Yea saw this two days back. Not as bad as the one in which he pinched/poked Barca's head coach right in his eyes (the video which Jason linked). Guys like Mou & Balo seriously need some help.

I had no idea Pique had enough time during the season to both play and liberate an entire country. Mad skillz.

Barcelona and Real Madrid showing again how football should be played. Upcoming week there will be internationals played, so I am going to miss this type of football.

Also Forlan has gone to Inter Milan. I would have like to see him play along with Falcao.

Holy hell I have never seen football like Barca played against Villarreal. Absurdly brilliant.

Brilliant comeback last night. The penalty was harsh though on Chile who were brilliant in the first half. Their pace was incredible!

Also Torres needs to be dropped. Its a crime to pick him ahead of Soldado.

Torres has lost in the fitness war. Soldado definetly deserves a call-up, like you mentioned, he has brought Valencia up greatly. Where as Torres has done exactly the opposite thing at Chelsea.
