Did anyone see the amount of swing Martin was getting. Sri Lanka had no hope. The delivery that got Jayasuriya was absolutely brilliant. It was poor captaincy from Fleming. The fact that Sri Lanka got to 211 after being 5-50 tells the story.

If Astle picks up 3/53 I don't see why your top bowler can't pick up a few wickets. I haven't watched it, though, so I'll stop at that. Sri Lankan cricket is possibly as boring to watch as South African cricket. I'm speaking of test matches, of course.

5-50 and then too 211, i think should have bundled them for about 80 0dd

its not that easy when it comes to cricket. You have to expect some sort of fightback and SL did just that. But NZ are in the driver's seat, 50/0 and will hope to put a lead of about 200. its going to be hard though and only if Sl have murali..

Astle was captin, Fleming had to go off after being struck in the knee from a no ball slip catch. And I diddn't tyink it was bad captaincy, but it was poor bowling by Franklin. Like 4 or 5 catches I think they said went down in the slips, that was another big issue. Franklin is the most inconsistant player I have ever seen.
