Good bowling by inexperienced Sri Lankan attack.They did made maximum use of the assistance they got form the pitch.But 101 seems to be not a bad score given the pitch.The collapse did help us discover Ashwin the all rounder.I suggest next time when we lose a wicket or two in cluster,send Ashwin in,not just because his wicket matters less than pure batsman,also because he seems to absorb pressure better.

Also well done to pitch curator.He did managed to prepare a good competitive pitch that is rare nowadays.[DOUBLEPOST=1455032267][/DOUBLEPOST]
In that sense you would call Sehwag brainless as well,but I am sure you would be the only one to do that.

I haven't seen the full innings 'cause I'm sick and I felt it'd be really a shame not watching India playing just because I'm sick. No more reason now it seems. But, just a general question - did it rain before the play started? It did look like it rained though. If that was the case then it must not have been easy for us batting first in these conditions, after enjoying some good time on Aussie's roads. Batsmen are not to be blamed then, because it's really tough to adapt with these changes in a little portion of time. Next game will surely be better.

You termed Dhawan brainless by the way he plays,but imo his way of playing is similar to that of Sehwag.So I was pointing out that if you would term Dhawan brainless then by that sense Sehwag is brainless too,which I think is a foolish concept to keep.

Stats suggest there is nothing really big that separates Dhawan from Sehwag.Anyway not as far a gap as b/w a legend and a school cricketer.

Also speaking about the replacement of Viru-Gauti and Rohit-Dhawan opening,I feel both are good.We can't really say one is better than the other.

In ODIs, Rohit/Dhawan are almost as good as Sehwag/Gambhir. But Sehwag actually won quite a few important games in Tests. That's what really elevates him to a level above Dhawan. Dhawan still has to cement his place in the test squad.

If india wants to keep this series alive then this is the only lineup i can suggest.

Pandya can bat much better up the order(4/5) which not gonna happen. But negi is a no7 specialist. he can come and hit sixes from the start.
And Rahane deserves the opening slot of T20.
Well its all just an expectations which is not gonna happen.
Dhoni will go with the same lineup for sure.

Even though I want to see Manish Pandey in the playing XI, I don't want him to be in team for this series. I feel they should go with the combination of players who are selected for the WC. Manish isn't playing this WC, so I definitely don't want to see him in the team, so is Bhuvi. Let the players who are selected for WC squad play as many games as possible.
