I had a few ideas for career mode and franchise mode (2 different things) which i emailed to LM Ages Ago. But he said there not going to be put in if they are until like the end

This was what i said. I think u can find the post in this thread aswell.

Career Mode is where you train your own players. You have a special menu when you start firstly you create your player in create a player. Basically if you create it for Career you go to a special mode that goes like RPIC career modes. When you create players for Exhibition matches etc you create it like Cricket 2005. When you go into Career mode you get menu with Next game, Emails, Training etc. What happens is when you hit next game you go to see if your included in the next squad. Then you control your player and everything. You can start off in club, domestic etc or you might even get straight into international!

THEN i had these two other mode ideas ages ago

FRANCHISE MODE:
Franchise mode is exactly like career mode except you RUN THE TEAM choose squads etc. You have to go to regular ICC Meetings and organise competitions/series.

UMPIRE MODE:
An option to umpire. At least one cricket game wants one. You should make it in online games that people can umpire online games. It would be a fun part of Cricket Project!

I think club cricket would be hard to do, prehaps you start in a domestic squad but not in the team, you would work your way into the team.

I think that sort of thing should be more for cricket manager type games

That does sound fun, but I would hate to be in a 5 day match umpiring

Nah man, I think a planetcricket squad career mode is the way to go

I have a more gameplay orientated idea...

When ever a boundery shot is hit...or a dropped catch happens, or a wicket happens...the game takes an automatic screenshot which u can either view in the game or out of the game for storys...after each match u choose which image to keep and which to delete

Another idea, this one from the CODIES forums...what group batsmen are.

Batting Styles:
Bad shot - these batsmen tend to have a strong defensive shot. They defend against bowlers and wait for the bad ball. They are usually very good at hitting boundaries. They are good against strong bowlers but bowlers with very high accuracy (McGrath) can stop them scoring for a long time. They will have a higher percentage of runs scored from boundaries then other batmen. eg Gambhir

Stay in - these batsmen are similar to bad shot batsmen but will try and score far more singles and twos instead of fours. They are defensive batsmen that stay in a long while but have low strike rates and can struggle in one day cricket. eg Bell

Big hitter - these batsmen are known for being able to hit the ball out of the ground and score very quickly. They attack from the word go. While very effective once they are played in and against weak bowlers, good bowlers can get them out early on in the innings before they have a chance to get their eye in. eg. Flintoff, Gilchrist

Gap player - these batsmen like to keep the scoreboard ticking over by playing the ball into gaps for singles and twos. They are usually very fast players and specialise in coming in in the middle of an ODI innings. They play good bowlers very well but can miss scoring opportunaties against poor bowlers. High accuracy is needed to keep the run rate down against these batsmen, eg. Collingwood

Stroke player - these players like to play their shots and while they do not go up into the air as much as the big hitters, they still hit a lot of fours. They will continue to play their shots in any situation though this can be their downfall if a good bowler can prevent them scoring freely. They are far more likely to be caught in the infield then other batsmen. eg. Vaughan, Trescothick, Warne

Normal player - these batsmen are not very fast or very slow at scoring and tend to play a large variety of shots. Batsmen within this style will vary a lot more then in the other styles. eg. Giles, Strauss, Langer

Swing and hope - these players are generally tail enders who know they won't be in long and prefer to take a massive swing at the ball and hope they get lucky. With a bit of luck they can get good scores fast but more often then not will get out in single figures. eg. Harmison, S Jones and Brett Lee, but because his stats will b high, he will connect with much more than others.

Ultra defensive - these players are generally tail enders who hope to be able to stay in at the crease while someone else scores the runs. They usually have a very good front foot defensive compared to other tail enders but can get into trouble with fast, short bowling. They score runs very slowly but can stay in a long while and frustrate the bowlers. eg. Hoggard, Gillespie

Terrible - Batsman who cant bat to save their lives eg. Courtney Walsh

What do u think?

Just a quick idea I had, what about having the controls of the game and things like that explained by one of the commentators (I would put my hand up to do it), with the various meters being shown on the screen as they are explained.
I think it is easier to listen to instructions then it is to read them (quicker too)
You could also intergrate this as part of your first net session. You would get the various batting controls and meters explained then you would be able to practice your shots in the nets (same for bowling), with the commentator giving you tips on it while you are doing it.

good idea...but should be optional - i.e. can choose to have this setting on or not...some people may not want their hard drive full of pics ;-)

yeah, i think this is a good idea..i hate reading manuals lol :)

will you be able to manually save really good wickets, so u can look back at them after an innings or game?

eg. You bowl an absolute jaffa get a bloke caught behind 1st ball :)
i know id like to re-live that over and over!

hope this hasn't been mentioned but would it be possible to have classic players and a classic team (like in BLIC) if so shall I start a thread and get some ideas as to who the players should be?

It's only a little thing but it would be great to see the batsmen look behind when they have edged a ball to the keeper or slips. It would look really realistic if the batsmen goes onto the backfoot, gets an edge and quickly looks behind to see if it has been caught. I hate how EA's batsmen simply hold the shot until the ball has been caught then walk off.
