No mate. Because someone else has bid higher than Venk. His bid has no consequences to the bidding process. A close shave but no harm done actually

Let me break it down for you.

Round 3: 185,000 Rizzy X
Roound 4, 195,000 Rizzy X 210, 000 Venk
Round 5: Rizzy X 210 000 + (I cannot say how much)

The process would have ended in Round 4 had Venk not placed the bid that he was not in a position to place.

Round 5 is a consequence to the incident of round 4!

So the point cricket_online made was valid, i have had to increase my bid considerably when there was no need if the rules were followed.

All this means I have to compromise in the purchase of my last player, could have had a quality 15th addition to the squad.

Also for the record, I had placed my bid well before Venk revealed his bid. SamP can vouch for this. (Yesterday to be precise)

I think @RIZZYX deserves KP at the price he paid in previous round because venky's bid caused him to bid again. That is the fair way i think.

Agree to all of that.

All I am saying is that he hasn't won the player. Even if done intentionally, his strategy was to increase KP's price (which has happened).

Now he says it was unintentional and a mistake. I Agree to him, others don't. All I am saying is that as of now he is not over-budget and can complete his squad easily. So penalty for what?

It could have easily been the case that i would not have bid in excess of 210,000 and Venk would have won KP and not had the 15th player.

Any how lets just wait until the auction ends.

And then I would have been one of the leaders to make sure he is penalised. However now he has cost you 20,000 at no loss to him.

I can understand your position and understand that you feel hard done by, but that's how things work

That would be the most fair solution, i.e. disregard Venk's bids which were over his limit and determine who won the player.

20000 makes a bid difference to a manager who has planned his future bids according to money he had at his disposal. Had Rizzy got KP at 195000, he would have bid on some other player in the private bid. But because he had to bid in excess of 210000 to get KP, he had to give up that other player and go for some lesser player. So even though Venky has not won KP from his illegal bid, he just destroyed Rizzy's whole auction planning. That is why some other members were asking Venky to be punished irrespective of whether he won KP or not.
Even if he's not punished, I strongly believe KP should be given to Rizzy at 195000 and Sam should wait for a little bit more to disclose this round's result so that Rizzy can modify his bid with the additional 20000 at his disposal.

As a mere spectator, I think if there's anyone who deserves KP in his team then that's RIZZYX. And, he should pay no more than 195,000 for it.
