Tamil Music/Movie Thread

Vishwaroopam is releasing on DTH on January 10th. The problem between theatre owners and Kamal is still going on, but it seems Devi theatre has come forward and said they are screening VR. Being a big cineplex, other theatres might also boldly follow Devi and screen VR. I am guessing Kamal will win the battle eventually.

Kadal is one mega movie that I'm waiting for! Mani ratnam has to bounce back.... He can't stay down for too long.

Vishwaroopam for next week, Kadal for Feb 1. Should be exciting! Will watch both in theatres here (in Texas).

Dude, you are too late!:D They have already released the official promo version of "Elay Keechan" song with visuals

Gautam Karthik looks just like his dad Karthik in terms of looks... I am pretty sure both Vikram Prabu and Gautam Karthik are capable of teaming up for the remake of "Agni Natchathiram" which starred their dad's together. Would be one ripper of a combination.

Listened to the songs of David....Liked "Vazhkaiye", "Oh Manamey" and"kanave kanave" of the lot. Rest were are Ok. Listened to it Because the 6 songs in the album were composed by 6 different music directors. Overall a good album :thumbs

Just watched "Kumki". Absolutely loved the film. I don't know why this movie also got mixed reviews, but I personally really liked it. The musical score by Imman is his best ever!!! And another superb debut performance from Vikram Prabhu. He was mighty impressive, and reminded me of Karthi's "Paruthiveeran" act. For a first timer, Vikram Prabu is just AWESOME!! He has his dad's eyes, and reminds a lot of Prabu. Lakshmi Menon was very impressive too (wonder why it said "Introducing" for her; she had already acted in Sasikumar's "Sundarapandian" who released earlier).

The biggest highlight is Thambhi Ramaiah and his comic delivery. He is a RIOT!!! Want to watch this film again in DVD print, for the amazing visuals. The cinematographer has just had a ball shooting those visuals..... Great film! Worth watching...

This was her first film. Sundarapandian was her second but released before the former. But you know the climax CG is really bad. We can't identify which elephant is fighting. (Annai Kaaligambal CG is even better :p)

It didn't matter much to me. I was not expecting realism to the minute details in the graphics of an Indian movie. And also since the fight was mostly happening in the dark, it didn't make any impact in me at all.

Got to see how Vikram Prabu handles a vibrant/bubbly character. His father (Prabu) was excellent in such characters. Still can't forget Chinna Thambi.

Watched "Neerparavai", Good movie by Seenu Ramaswamy,Excellent Direction n Topnotch acting by the cast Vishnu,Sunaina,Nandita das n co. Liked it :thumbs

Looks like we're going to have to wait a little longer for Viswaroopam, Jan. 25th they say.

Kamal says Vishwaroop is primarily a Hindi film, so will it suit the taste of our Tamil fans? Remember Hey Ram?
