Guys kandasamy is finally releasing this Friday with big hype and almost after two years wait.Booking opened on monday but i booked yesterday and could get ticket only on next tuesday as till that date it was already full.Got ticket for 6.30 eve show in sathyam cinemas..

Its opening really big. Looks like it is going to be sold out for almost a week. After Anniyan, this will be Vikram's next big movie and hopefully a blockbuster. TC needs a big budget blockbuster badly this year (Ayan was one, but it didnt look a big budget).

I am excited about Shriya. I have started loving her new haircut. She looks cute in it.

Guys I'm Really sorry to say this.Few of my friends saw the movie and have reported that its mixture of few movies like sivaji,anniyan and few others.There is nothing new in concept too.Its just like robin hood where he steals money from big people and gives it to poor..None of them are happy with the movie...I am about to go on Tuesday as i mentioned..Just a waste of 120 RS..

I am watching it this Sunday. I dont mind those criticisms (ie. mixture of Sivaji and Anniyan). I like such movies. I am just going for some entertainment (esp. from Shriya), thats all. I am not expecting much from the movie, just some timepass.

I finally watched that movie yesterday evening as i told.I went in without seeing any scenes or songs and moreover without any expectation..The result goes like this...
1.Vikram's role and performance is excellent...10 marks
2.Other roles like prabhu,telegu actor,Vikram's team are good....9 marks
3.Theme eventhough being borrowed looks well executed.....8 marks..
4.Coming to shriya...She does not wear proper dresses in complete movie,Her role too is just glamour and it reduces the film speed and tempo...6 marks..
5.Finally i give 5 marks for this film...Can watch it once..


If there was no songs it would have been excellent film...

Just picked up a bunch of audio CD's as i'm flying to the US tonight. Aadhavan and Kanthaswami songs are excellent.

Aadhavan songs are good enough for a masala film. Kandhasamy was good but somehow it didnt stick long with me.

I dropped the idea of watching Kandhasamy in the theatre after the negative reviews. Watching it today on online print. Vikram is the only hero who does films for 2 years and yet the films dont work (e.g. Bheema, Kandhasamy).

Forgot to say.I watched this movie first day in Vetri (crap theatre,but who cares,its the nearest one to my college).That too bunking my afternoon session classes.Was just boring to say the least.The applause was immense while the movie started,while it slowly reduced,and there was no noise whatsoever by 45 minutes or something.Songs were okay imo.I liked Shriya in this movie,and shes one of the reasons I dint come out during the interval.I was eagerly waiting for that last song (bambara kannale remix).And tbh its the only thing in the film,that lived upto the hype.Im a Vikram fan and was waiting for this movie to release :doh

Hey Vetri is crap theater...Its near to my place only..I'm residing in Chromepet only..I usually will watch first day films there with friends..

The songs of "Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya" by AR RAHMAN is going to release this coming weekend on December 19th. Eagerly eagerly awaiting Rahman's magic (this time, he is combining with Gautham Menon which makes it all the more special since Gautham gave superb music with Harris).

Also the music of "Goa" by Yuvan Shankar Raja in the direction of Venkat Prabu (the combo gave us great music like Chennai-28 and Saroja) is going to release on December 23rd. So two highly hyped albums in Tamil are going to release within a span of 4-5 days. WAITING FOR BOTH OF THEM!

Let us know how Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya is. I am also waiting for it, ARR basically! :banana2 Whether ARR combines or not, whatever music he puts, I am just a blind fan of him.

Me too. Whoever he combines with, I just listen to it because its him. Sometimes I feel that I get too biased about my view of the music if its by ARR. Anyways....

Vettaikaaran is releasing this coming Friday. Big acid test for Vijay. If he fails this time (he also has the backing of Tamil Nadu's most powerful media, Sun Pictures who are promoting the film like crazy), dont know what else can bring him back up.

Not sure how the film is going to turn up,but the trailors are unintentionally hilarious.Its not Vijay's good times these days,but a hit can turn things around for him.And yeah eagerly waiting for VV's songs.Its gona be a hit anyways though.
