Thx Ravi , I got the files.Though the procedure to start the play seems a bit complicated.Does this mean that we can bat and bowl only 49 overs
Not always, I started a game and lost the toss. I was asked to bat and had started the game using the ODI bowling.exe, played out the first over saved it and restarted using the ODI batting.exe. You might want to check with Shailesh and Jonah how they use it.Originally posted by amber22@Jun 16 2003, 02:06 PM

I always start with bowl.exe, then if I'm batting quit the game after an over and restart with bat.exe. After 49 overs, quit the game, play the last over with bowl.exe, then you're ready to start your bowling innings.Originally posted by crick4life@Jun 16 2003, 03:16 PM

All right there seems to be some problem with your installation. You will need to point to the install directory (directory where you have installed Cricket2002) lets sayOriginally posted by amber22@Jun 16 2003, 02:36 PM
Now i hope I dont have any problems.I downloaded the 2 exe's file. When I run the ODIBOWLING.exe it installs just 2 folders configs and captures which I replace with default folders after back up of default ones.I start the game using the default exe file since I do not get the "bat.exe" or "bowl.exe".
And similarly when I installs the 2 folders from ODIBATTING.exe , at the end of installation it says"Unable to run bat.exe"
So tell me do I have to run the default exe's
Probably the l_hard file was a bit awary. Hopefully it would be fixed in the one I sent. You are right, I live in NZ and guess what am on leave for the next couple of days. I have no plans in place for the next two days but for playing games on PC. BTW I finished my inning scoring a healthy 198/7 off 50 overs. I played for India against the Kiwis and Shewaj ended up being unbeaten. Check the scores below. Now is my chance to check if the CPU batting fiasco was one off or it is in all sorts of pitches. Will update you soon.Originally posted by jonah@Jun 16 2003, 02:54 PM
Everything ran OK with mine Ravi, just seemed to make the cpu batting go awry  .
Btw, I always thought you lived in NZ? If so, it must be about 4 in the morning there? Now that's what I call dedication to the cause ...
Check out the chase Jonah, its really interesting. Looks like history is repeating itself, Srinath economical and unplayable, Zaheer temperamental but taking wickets at regular intervals, Ashish not very impressive. The brittle top order of NZ but a good fighting spirit from the middle order. Am I blowing the trumphet a little too eary or should I wait till they get there. Although I support NZ a bit more than India, I will try to bowl my best to get them bowled out.Originally posted by jonah@Jun 16 2003, 03:54 PM
That's the life Ravi...no plans but to play pc games ...
That's a great effort there mate; superb effort on a green top ; be interesting to see how the cpu holds up.
Btw, I'm coming round to your bowling cursor idea. At first, with lower ave bowlers, it was still reasonably easy to place the cursor. When I used higher average bowlers, the cursor gets huge, so making it more difficult to get that precision placing. Great idea ...
I have sent you guys a new one which should set all of the previous ones right. The edges were one too many and also the seam, spin movement were a bit too much for CPU to handle. I could bowl out CPU eventually for around 178 off 42 overs with the help of lots of yorkers . Go with the ones Ive just sent, they seem to play well. Also with the new ones better the team better the performance, I started another game this time against India and am playing for NZ. Tell you what I am not knowing where to bowl and how to bowl even on the green top, its got me thinking for sure. There have been few edges but have fallen short, will post the results pretty soon.Originally posted by jonah@Jun 16 2003, 05:11 PM
Use the new ones amber, right Ravi?
Mani, the files are Ravi's, so it's really up to him if he wants to distribute them more widely. I'm sure once he's happy with them he'll upload them/send them out to whoever .
No favouritism re the NZ run chase Ravi...not too much short stuff inviting those late sq cuts ...
Tell me Ravi, are you getting many cpu edges/play and misses, being on a green-top?
