Did Australia seriously rest Starc and Hazlewood?

I think the tracks would be similar to the ones England played against India last year. Flat and slow with not much of bounce and ball coming nicely on the bat. If there are Overcast skies the batting would become difficult due to the breeze in the air and the swing which bowlers like Anderson would try to exploit.

It's true you get fewer green tops than you used to but Edgebaston has always been a bowlers pitch.

Hate the numbers on the back....looks like one of the players kids was given a rol of gaffer tape to play with![DOUBLEPOST=1564654830][/DOUBLEPOST]Welcome to Edgbaston David!!!!

Broad is a different beast when he’s on song!

Pretty even I'd say after Smith and Head built a good partnership. Unfortunate that Warner didn't review and Bancroft and Khawaja played a deliveries that they could've left.

Really like the numbers and names on the back of test kit.

I think Australia have made an enormous error by leaving out Hazlewood. He's a class act and in English conditions it's near madness to drop him. Can't get my head around the Wade selection either.

About time that they realize that they need someone with more skill will be more helpful in England than someone like Starc. They are not playing in Australia that they can use Starc and his pace to blast batsmen off. They need someone who might not be express but has enough skill to move the ball around in England. Even though I would have gone for Hazelwood instead of Siddle but I don't mind them not playing Starc.

P.S. Very excited to see how Pattinson goes. I have always rated him very highly since I saw him first time in their home series back in 2011. Hopefully he survives the whole series without getting injured again.
