Alright that was a terrific knock from Samson other than whatever happened in the 39th over. He’s definitely in line for more future honours.

Amazing inning by Sanju and Iyer. Shardul too! Like how critical I am of KL, I was the same with Sanju and he has proved me wrong and I am happy. He seems more secure in his head, he calculates it well and does provide worthy knocks in the blue. He should be part of our squad to the boring ODI WC. Once we are back full strength this is how our lineup would look like

  1. Rohit Sharma
  2. KL Rahul
  3. Virat Kohli
  4. SKY
  5. Sanju Samson
  6. Hardik Pandya
  7. Rishabh Pant/All Rounder
  8. Spinner
  9. Spinner
  10. Fast Bowler
  11. Fast Bowler

Ayo, No Suryakumar Yadav??? :notimpressed:

I know this is a different format but the way Reeza is seeing the ball there is no chance he is to sit out for Bavuma in the upcoming WC.

Very important wicket there, Reeza was looking very dangerous. Might leapfrog Malan soon in the pecking order given how inept the latter is to spin.

Having the extra bowler is clearly helping us out a lot more in this game too.

Two massive wickets in consecutive overs and this game looks entirely different now! Hoping we can restrict them to a below 300 score here.

It's bonkers that the Indian side are in Australia, watching Australia warm up against England for the T20 World Cup. Meanwhile, the South African side are playing an ODI series against India A. :lol

Too much strength in depth. :spy

Siraj was marvellous in the death overs today barring whatever the heck that overthrow was. His overall white ball record may be questionable but there’s talent in this boy no doubt.

It's great for India. Just seems like a crazy situation for South Africa to find themselves in.

I've got it on. Only has a bit of my attention though. Just noticed Dale Steyn looking like a musketeer.

From their point of view they’d need the points to avoid qualification for the WC and I suppose that’s what they’re aiming at. This is as easy a chance for them to win at least two if not all three games.

Yeah, I was thinking that. India likely won't play a full strength side so we can try and grab some points that we have sacrificed for the India IPL money

Also, it's good to see Sanju in an Indian shirt.

Just a fun fact though.....

We haven't beaten South Africa in an ODI series at home since February 2010. How fascinating it would be to beat their full strength side with a 3rd string line-up?

However, we did beat them in South Africa with our full strength team against their 3rd string line-up in February 2018

Not a comparison of the present day side with the past team but just a thought!
