You compare that with Kane Williamson for example and the gap will be yawning. It's okay to be attacking or positive, but your base (defence) must be solid.

Oh I don't disagree. But I think the England selectors, coach and captain are either convinced he can be a test player or are too stubborn to admit they're wrong.
