The Ashes (Australia tour of England)

Who will take the urn in the 2019 Ashes?

I really feel Pat Cummins deserved these wickets. He bowled his out heart in this session and Hazelwood is getting rewarded.

Wanted Roy to be in England's test team because of his aggression when it comes to batting, didn't think he would've turned out this bloody awful at test cricket. Peach of a delivery though!

That was bad yeah.....blimey....no excuses...he is great with the white ball but with the red he is out of place and depth and now chances.

Again, once again Roy showcases white ball cricket syndrome! This is the most appalling selection I have seen. Just see how far ahead his bat goes ahead of his body. You compare that with Kane Williamson for example and the gap will be yawning. It's okay to be attacking or positive, but your base (defence) must be solid.

Wait for the ball wait for the ball wait for the ball....

Roy: What? Push forward , driving?

I still can't get my head around the fact that forum members here can see the issue with Roy but the management can't. Is the WC hangover so darn strong?

Do you also want him to play the 5th test?

Well let him get the full experiance of an Ashes series. Why would you leave poor Jason hanging like that?
If we lose this match get someone in and blood them......[DOUBLEPOST=1567792302][/DOUBLEPOST]Blimey: England into day four! :p

But they're blooding Roy at number 4. He got his third highest test score. So it's an improvement.
ha! But that technique! He is just getting utterly found out.... England just haven't prepared well enough. He should have been in the test side before the Ashes to help him adjust. it's not fair on him really.

Oh I don't disagree. But I think the England selectors, coach and captain are either convinced he can be a test player or are too stubborn to admit they're wrong.
