Ok, for my go I’ll push us right back in time to Sachin’s test debut, vs Pakistan in 1989. And I’ll take the captain of his opponents that day, Imran Khan.

my team currently:

  1. Graham Gooch
  2. Barry Richards
  3. -
  4. Wally Hammond
  5. -
  6. -
  7. Imran Khan
  8. -
  9. -
  10. -

@qpeedore is next

Malcolm Marshall for me then... Will update this post later

@ahmedleo414

@qpeedore now has 2 late picks. Hope all is well.

While on Windies quicks, I'll take Joel Garner.

@Dale88 can go next.

@qpeedore slot in when you can using whomever is last picked. (i.e. if you're before Dale, use Garner; if you're after Dale, use who he picks, etc.)

  1. Barry Richards
  2. Graham Gooch
  3. -
  4. Wally Hammond
  5. -
  6. -
  7. Imran Khan
  8. -
  9. -
  10. Joel Garner
  11. -

I like how this team is taking shape.

:saf: :ar: Mike Procter

Test stats: 226 runs @ 25.11 (best 48) and 41 wickets @ 15.02 (1 5WI, best 6/73) in 7 matches
First-class stats: 21,936 runs @ 36.01 (48 centuries, best 254) and 1,417 wickets @ 19.53 (70 5WI, best 9/71) in 401 matches

If not for the sporting isolation of South Africa that resulted from Apartheid, Mike Procter would have likely gone on to be remembered as one of Test cricket's very best fast bowlers. Instead, he's somewhat forgotten in conversations about the very greats, but he completes what is almost certainly the best bowling attack I've ever assembled in a draft, and if anything makes it stronger. Oh, and he was also a top-class batsman too, batting two positions above Imran Khan for the WSC World XI.

Aislabie's XI so far:
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
7. :saf: :ar: Mike Procter
8. :aus: :ar: Alan Davidson
9. :eng: :bwl: Hedley Verity
10. :aus: :bwl: Shane Warne
11. :aus: :bwl: Glenn McGrath
