Any update on the situation????

Sorry about the delay lads.
Been a sh#t of a week for me so far and doesnt look like getting much better, next major update looks like Friday night.

Whats happened so far, Balaji has been run out on 87 and Martyn got 401 no.
We declared after three more overs. We lead by about 310 runs.
We got an early wicket through Binga who clean bowled Jefferson and there is about 5 / 6 overs left on the 3rd day.

Yay so I got a bat for 3 overs :D

So the 3 over trick did work. Only buggering thing was I got run out. Oh! well all for the team. But a personally satisfying match so far for me. 3 wkts and 87 runs (could have been better if were unbeaten, or even so If had reached the ton).

Good knock by Joey and also Lukus. And a quick congrats for Leester for his first wicket for Derbys. Now lets get the darned team out!

U happy now!!! LOL!!! Good breakthrough at the end there, sets up a good last day!

Balaji is just exiting the ground after acknowledging the sizeable crowd who gave him a polite round of applause for his knock of 87. A reporter from channel 4 makes a beeline towards him, Balaji tries to shove the reporter off especially as Joe Martin is near his 400, but suddenly recognizes the reporter as the blonde from the other day.

Reporter: Hello Balaji, Alice Fraser from channel 4. A quick chat?

RB: Sure! I mean why not? (Damn!). Wheres that Charlie?

AF: Oh! He is interviewing Freeman and Hemlani over there!

RB: Yeah! I heard he is good with the kids!

(Crowd roars as Joe Martin slams a ball over midwicket for a boundary, that takes him to 394*)

AF: Good support act today! Feeling good after the knock?

RB: Yeah! just get this feeling that my day is going to get better (winks)

AF: (Rolling eyes) whatever! and I get to interview you (laughs)

RB: Didnt I tell you my day is going to get better!

AF: Tell me about the runout! That was a non existant single and you were just 13 runs away from the first century of your season!

RB: Well Joey had to get the chunk of the strike, It wouldn't be fair to see the kid stranded near 400 that too on his debut, when I plod away for a 100.

AF: Team orders?

RB: Three overs! My call.

AF: helps being a senior player?

RB: Absolutely! Though I aint WC Grace as such. only 23 you know! but the old man o the team

AF: good performance with the ball as well!

RB: yeah! I am perfect today, (crowd gasps as the keeper mises a sitter from joe martin, who is on 394) damn kid, come on hit one to me, wont ya?

AF: Team spirit running high?

RB: absolutely!

(The ball soars in a graceful arc and lands in the parking lot as Martin celebrates his 400 on debut. Crowd erupts!)

RB:Way to go Joey! (waves his bat towards the pitch) and hey Alice, could we meet in the evening for a coffee and get this interview over with. I see the declaration coming in and I need to get of this gear and take the field.

AF: Sure! and thanks for the chat. My first interview you know?

RB: Any time! and this evening right?

AF: OK! (walks of)

Balaji moves on to congratulate Joe Martin.

Alice Fraser catches up to Joe Martyn after finally managing to shake off the attentions of the smooth talking Balaji:

AF: Joe, you must be delighted!

JM: (struggling to catch breathe) So.... Happy! This is amazing! The crowd.... just great!

AF: So...... (Alice is about to ask another question to Martyn but he is mobbed by his new team-mates)

JM: Sorry! Speak another time!

The 'of' in [ after finally managing to shake off the attentions of the smooth talking Balaji], is really an 'off'. Trust Joe to be on high adrenaline when typing!

Just in case, the Balaji charm does needs some effort to be shaken off! :D
