Derbyshire v Sussex at Derby

Derbyshire 202 (44.1)

Well a great batting performance by Joe Martyn has steered the home side to a steady total of 201. Martyn who blasted his second hundred on the trot has certainly captured the eye of english selectors after scoring a club record 401 no and then a fine 103 today. He was assisted well from Yorkshire transfer Briggsey who help lift the run rate with a quick fire 24. Well coinditons are still very good here so the home side will have to bowl very well to claim this match. It looks as though Binga is warming up and ready to bowl the first ball of the Sussex innings.

Derbyshire v Sussex at Derby

Derbyshire 202 (44.1)
Sussex 144 (25.3)

Derbyshire win by 19.3 overs

Well a comprahensive win here by the Derbyshire Phantoms who have appeared to unleash two superstars of the furture in J.Martyn and young Aussie leggie M.Dufty who worked brilliantly with the new ball and in tandem with Stevie Moore. Blaine Molloy show some great leadership out there and showed he also learned a bit of flare for his old skipper Ritche Roberts :p . Molloy implemented great field setting and his faith in young Dufty certainly paid off. Well join us next time for our Frizzal Cup match v Somerset. I look forward to your company then. :D
