Hey lads, i have come up with a new idea. Seen as we have a very full roster, selections are now not only based on match performance but training as well. Between matches you will need post your training resume, doesnt require anything elaborate or time consuming, for example

Richie Roberts Training

Concentrate on hand eye co ordination and glovework with spinner.
Hard net battiong practice based on solid defence.
Weights session to improve leg strength for keeping wickets.

Done as simple as that.
I will try to implement what you do in training in the game, so if you put work hard on outswingers i will bowl a lot of out swingers with you in the game etc.

SO remember guys this goes towards team selection

Nitesh Hemlani Training

Warm Up Outswingers, work on leg cutters and my 'Special Ball' ;)
Carry out sprints and catching practice for fielding
Work hard on front foot and backfoot defense.

Shaun Briggs Training

Arrive for training, simple warm up, jog around pitch few times to improve stamina.
Pad up and go into nets, work on back foot technique - hooking especially.
Bowling session, concentrate on line and length, work on bowling more outswingers and figure out signals with keeper for slower ball.
Fielding practice, work with coach on catching skills in slips.
Warm down.

Also if possible Rob, could you change my bat to the Smasher bat if you have it?

I was wondering if i could join Derbyshire!

Here are my attributes:

I am a attaking allrounder such as flintoff. I can bowl Right arm Med-fast.
Batting:
I am a middle order (can be an opener if u'd like) Aggressive batsmen. A flamboyant stroke maker, i like to see the scorecard ticking.
I use an MRF Genius. Hieght: around 6'3.

Bowling:

Generally 1st or 2nd change bowler. I have an armory of out swinger, in swinger, yorker, and off cutter. I'd bowl to any feild my captain desires. I am a miser and a Partnership Breaker.

Fielding:

Fast and speedy, im a pretty good fielder. I glue my catches, and can save many runs. I mainly field in the Slips and Covers.

Accesories: Wrist bands, Seat towel, Cap.

Nationality: Indian
Commentry name: Ponting
Name: Rohit Anand

TRAINING:

Start with a couple of laps around the field. Then start warming up in swingers and outs, with the off cutter at times. after about an hour or so of bowling, strap on pads and bat for about an hour and a half. Work on Defence, Driving, and Slogging. Play against spinners and seamers.

Practice fielding with the coach for another hour. Slip and gully catches, mainly.
Hope that i make it into the team!

Joe Martyn Training:
short weights session in the gym, followed by jog
concentrate on mantaining current form by facing best bowlers at club, work on sweeping, straight driving, and facing spinners
have a twirl of the arm myself, concentrating on accuracy to utilise the big turn and bring consistancy.
one-handed pick up and shy at the stumps field training
warm down

Balaji's training

1. Running between the wickets(Second run out on the trot!)
2. Weights!
3. A hard session in the nets against the quicks!
4. A couple of Beers!

S.Martins training
Glovework session focusing on stumpings and caught behinds especially off the spinners.

Weight session followed by light jog.

Nets session focusing on getting the eye in and putting partnerships together by batting for longer periods of time. :D

Steve Moore's Training Regime:
1. Bowl at Martyn to help him play spinners.
2. Use Later Part of the Session to work on developing a 'Doosra' (but it's not ready yet!)
3. Have a net against a randomised bowling machine working exclusively on Defense

btw, in section three give Martyn the use of Merlin to develop his leg spin play

Training;

Long, long session in the nets following my duck, practicing forward defense, then have a go at some driving, mainly against pace but i move into Steve Moores after Martyn moves out and play half an hour of spin. I then warm right up and practice my slip catching, the balls being angled towards us. I catch a right blinder, much better than that Andrew Strauss fella! Then i warm back down and practice my bowling, thrying to get the perfect off spinners delivery, pitching just outside off stump and getting through the gate onto middle and leg, I also try to get some going the other way but i dont suceed very often, i wont be using that in a match any time soon!
