We wouldn't go to India in December ;)
I reckon our schedule works for us in a way cause we get to play at home. If we had to play our first test without Warne/McGrath in India it would have been a real tough ask on the new guys.
Good Point, Expierenced players have trouble in India at times so for the new players it would just be to much pressure on them too

Here's my predicted Australian XI in a few years time...

Phil Jaques
Michael Hussey
Ricky Ponting (c)
Michael Clarke
Luke Pomersbach
Dave Hussey
Brad Haddin (wk)
Brett Lee
Mitchell Johnson
Ben Hilfenhaus
Shaun Tait

I cant see D. Hussey making it... surely theres more consistent batsmen around the domestic scene.

I don't think losing one series would signal the end of australian dominance. They have to lose at home for there to be any sign that that is the case. The only challenges that will come up in the next couple of years are against india away and against england. I think we have to bowling attack to take down england pretty easily and based on what i've seen from india this series we should do the same over there - the only question is whether england can get some of their good bowlers back to their best because in full force they should be able to rattle us. We beat india in india last time with seamers, not spinners, but we have Michael Clarke and Symonds who should do just fine when required!

Yeah. D Husseys only 30 but the problem is how can anyone look past Noffke? 3rd highest Pura cup runscorer and 2nd highest wicket taker.

yeah i have managed to watch a bit of him. He is looking the goods at the moment, but no he should anytime soon play for his country.

Noffke got his debut in Twenty20, and along with Hussey should get his chance in the Commonwealth Bank Series. I'm not sure about Bomber, he deserves the callup, but his age might hold him back.

Didn't hold up Chris Rogers', his the same age as Hussey but Hussey's played more first-class cricket and averages almost 10 more runs then him in FC cricket.

True, but Rogers is the standout specialist opener with Jaques in the team, and he's also not a Victorian. I hope that Hussey gets a go, but I think that he'll find it hard to get a regular gig in the first class team.

Also, you didn't need to put an apostrophe after Rogers.

And 10 more in limited overs, let's not forget.

Noffke looks a certain instant swap if Clark is injured, but his overall record isn't incredible, particularly not for limited overs. At the same time, though, Johnson might miss the boat on Pakistan or the West Indies and Noffke could easily slot in.

I'm sure the Aussies are getting bored with being No 1.. little changes may help the game only.. erm.. :p
