A pretty low total by Derbyshire however there is sill some work for the Kent batsman to do and they should not get cocky

Superb bowling by the Kent bowlers. James Tredwell though desreves a mention though due to him picking up five wickets plus keeping it tight.

Di Venuto will be annoyed that his batsmen did not use all their overs up and collapsed towards the end

So now that the Derbyshire innings has finished we will be watching the Kent innings right after this.......

I like it but i cant deal with the overload of images

I personally feel that the pictures help to put the story across, and it is not that many more than other stories which are around. For instance Kev's season had about the same amount of pics

really loving the story dont like my team getting beaten though but i go for derbys im used to it

Kent falter slightly with regular loss of wickets in the first few overs

First to go is Walker getting trapped LBW for only 7

Rob Key the vice-captain is the new batsman

And is almost bowled first ball by a beautiful delivery

A massive appeal against Key

But it's adjusted to have hit Key outside the line and not given

It diesn't matter though because Key is bowled next ball

He never looked settled

Martin van Jaarsveld is the new batsman

After 10 overs the score is 39/2 with only the captain David Fulton looking comfortable

Both bowlers have given away the same amount of runs but Dean has picked up those crucial wickets

Kent are below the run-rate and have lost two early wickets. The skipper and van Jaarsveld need to build a partnership and fast

After 15 overs and the end of the fielding restrictions, Kent's run-rate is sill well below the required amount however at least they have stooped losing wickets. Also Kent if they are careful can get an extra few overs as Derbyshire failed to use their alloted amount

Martin van Jaarsveld now survives an LBW appeal. Kent are riding their luck a little bit.

And their luck does not hold when they lose the skipper for 37

The partnership between the skipper and van Jaarveld has brought Kent to nearly within a 100 runs of Derbyshire. The match is poised on a knife-edge.

After 20 overs the score is 80/3

The pick of the bowlers has been Dean

Kent are now moving towards Derbyshire's run-rate however crucially Kent have lost more wickets.
