Chilton just cant stop scoring tons can he
has he got one in every innings

Bad lucky Derby, seemed the scum did you over last night! But hey thats what you get for invading Yorkshire :) Nice stuff yet again from Chilton but I hate when I set these sort of scores because sometimes you dont know if the opposition will actually put up a fight and get it. Early wickets is the key to prevent that though!

Oh and Zorax, I heard Briggs was a really down to earth guy, no ego problems what so ever! :)

Pretty even id say at the moment! Glad to have taken a wicket though :D

And a number 4 batsman coming in at 8! There's some strength in debt for you so even if we are 50 for 6, never fear!!! :)
You hear wrong my friend.

By the way, I've just come off clean bowling Briggs three times in a row in the nets...doesn't say much for his ability with the bat...

I am an all-rounder coming in at number 8!!! What more can you say about strength in debt for the team!!!

You clean bowled me 3 times in a row after I had hit you for five 6's in a row so was obviously feeling sorry for you...

You hit me? You are in another universe remember? I never bowled to you...

However, THAT Briggsey didn't even get close to my bowling. I hit him for a six as well when I padded up. Oh, and you should have seen how Martyn dispatched him, a box of balls lost in half an hour...

Well THAT Briggsey must be poor if he gets hit around by the likes of you!!!

Middlesex Crusaiders Vs Lancashire Lightning

Our winning streak improves to three matches out of three! Another gritty performance by the lads at the end there, it went right down to the wire and there were only 14 runs in it an the end. Murali showed his class once again with three wickets and the rest of the bowlers really did themselves proud. Andrew Strauss played a cracking knock and Dalrymple really showed a lot of character as he stuck it out at the end and nearly won the game for Middlesex. In the end though it wasn?t to be and we earned a well fought victory, even though we didn?t play our best cricket we still prevailed which shows what a good team ethic we have built up at the club in such a short space of time.

Middlesex didnt get off to the best of starts when they lost one of their openers for a duck. James Anderson came steaming in after being hit for a four and a single from the first two balls of his over, he got one to jump out of the pitch and Smith tried to drive him on the back foot, it didnt really work out and he edges it through to Warren Hegg who doesnt drop many. Ed Joyce was the next man in, he needed a decent partnership with Andrew Strauss if Middlesex were going to have a platform on which to build.

Unfortunately for Middlesex Joyce didnt put a partnership together and scored 16 from 14 deliveries, Dominic Cork this time with a wicket, he got the bal two swing in then nip away from the left hander, the swing forced Joyce into a defensive stroke covering middle and leg but the ball nipped away and hit off stump, a clever piece of bowing from Corky and that meant that both opening bowlers had gotten early wickets which is what i will be looking for throughout the season.

Andrew Flintoff replaced Jimmy Anderson and got himself a wicket in his second over. A few cracking outswngers missed the outside edge and then a straighter one just went past the stumps, the delivery that finally got him was a pefect inswinging yorker, Fredd was ecstatic, he had been practicing them all week for the tailenders but obviously decided to stick one in and it paid off. Middlesex had been strauggling to get partnership going and the free scoring Andrew Strauss was running low on batting partners.

Muttiah Muralitharan, he never ceases to amaze me, i can bring him on anytime and he will get wicket after wicket. I tried Glenn Chaple for four overs but he wasnt really troubling the batsmen so i switched it round and bowled Murali with Freddie. I was expecting a wicket but not as soon as it came. Murali picked up the wicket of the dangerous and in form Strauss with his first ball, bowled from over the wicket and spinning across the left hander, the defensive shot inside edged onto the pads and stright into the outstetched arms of Stuart Law, wonderfull bowling and a vital wicket.

Scott Styris and Dalrymple were at the crease next and they were Middlesex's only hope really, after that came Nash, and then your into the bowlers. Styris didnt score well and lasted only 23 balls, he hammered Murali for two successive four and then tried it again, he got the leading edge and chipped it straight back at the Sri Lankan spinball wizard who took an easy catch, what an impact he has on every game he plays in. It is uncanny how he picks up the wickets so easily, he is an expert thinker too, less spin on this one so it came of the edge not the middle of the bat.

Nash too was mesmarised by the spin of Murali, he had pitched a few on off stump that realy ripped back into the batsman, Nash had tried clipping him through the legside but couldnt really get any pace on the ball, he ended up blocking these deliveries so Murali tried an arm ball, pitching in the same area but going straight, it did the trick and the batsman went for a defensive shot and left his off stump unguarded, it was then left loose in the gorund by Mttiah Muralitharan....

I brought Corky back into the attack and after a bit of resistance from Irfan Pathan and Dalyrymple in which they did actually knock the ball around well he got the wicket. Pathan had been playing some wonderfull drives but the one swung back in late and the Indian quickie completely missed the ball, he middle stump was ripped out and he was left looking very embarassed as he left the pitch, that could have been a match winning partnership.....

Glenn Chapple improved his line and length in his second spell and really troubled Dalrymple, it was Haywards wicket he eventually claimed though, Hayward was trying to give Dalrymple as much strike as he possibly could and this proved his downfall, a few dfensive drop downs and quick singles were taken but this defensive dropdown didnt work becuse he missed the ball and you cant miss the ball when someone is bowing wicket to wicket, full and straight.

Dalrymple reached his 50 as he and Keegan battled on and tried to chase down the ever increasing run rate, they did put in a big over at the end wihc decreased the rate to 8.5 and over with two overs remaining but a maiden from Chapple made sure that they had no chance of a win, two runs in the last over meant that we won by 14 runs, a well deserved victory for the lads, they need to get out of the one day mentalitly now and get focused on the four day match they have comming up next, can Chilts continue his run of tons?? Find out soon!
