Its a good thing that rain has been predicted for the next three days because out bowling has been terrible and at this rate we would have been chasing about 700 in the first innings! Terrible is a bit of an exageration, its just the fact that we havent really taken any wickets, only Corky has looked dangerous when he has been bowling. At least we could have relied upon 200 runs from Mark Chilton :p I dont think the rain will hold up long enough for him to reach the landmark again, if he does though it will be an amazing feat (and will also beat my current record for most consective centuries which is held by Sachin Tendulkar).

Only one success to tell of at Tea but what a vital breakthrough it was in the end, just as the partnership was really getting going, Graham Hick fell just 20 short of his century and looked gutted to have gotten out when he id although he can have no complaints really, it was decent ball that he played late, it was onto him quick and Andrew Flintoff took a good catch above his hea dna dgoing to his left in the slips. Glenn Chapple got the wicket and he looked really pleased at himself after getting a reward for a good little spell.

I was expecting more wickets to have fllen at this stage, I wont beat around the bush, i wanted more wickets! Freddie and Murali havent produced but i cant really moan, there probrably all out of steam but one man who hasnt produced all season has been Jimmy Anderson, i was planning on him knocking a few over at the start of the match, dont get me wrong, luck hasnt been on his side, catches have gone down from him etc but he still should have taken at least as many wickets as Corky! We need to do some serious talking over Tea!

Well, cricket has been dubbed a very un-manly, un-serious game 'cause of the tea break. That sounds funny, especially if you watch how the British act at tea in sitcoms
