The "must be fixed" thread

As an interesting point the main thing we couldn't edit in IC10 was the licensed teams. Would almost rather have it all unlicensed...

absolutely correct . They must provide official kit editors, face editors , name changers .

1.As mentioned before catching in slips is quite unrealistic in previous games.
2.Except sehwag, warner, gayle and few other players. No other player slog from the first ball in ODI and Tests. AI must play naturally according to conditions of pitch, weather and quality of attack.

If the developers are looking to make this mostly an online game, then AI may not be given that much of an importance. That is one of the biggest fears I have.

I don't think it's been said anywhere that this is going to be a "mostly online" game.

After playing a test match in IC2010 it reminded me of something I have felt to be a little frustrating in the past....middle order batsmen tend to be too aggressive. I had a good morning session with good tight cricket. Each player played themselves in before starting to play some shots ( I was bowling btw). When it was 73 for 3 all hell broke loose and a run rate of just under three went up to close to five. I didnt feel as a bowling side they I could do anything at all to try and bring them back into a defensive mode again. I feel there is a slight imbalance in the middle order in the sense of rewards/risk in the favour of the batsmen. Would be nice to have a little more balance there. Also as many have mentioned, spinners are pretty rubbish at holding an end up. I bought on Swan, not your worse spin bowler to tighten up and end but had to bring him off straight away as he went for seven an over. I am sure it just a number of tweaks in the ai to set up a more balanced approach. Also when fielding if you set a defensive ring the batsmen will go ariel and defeat the purpose, set an attacking field they will easily find the gaps. Again a little imbalance there which if it could be addressed would result in more tension and playability.

AI fielding tactics

Would like it if AI tried to be more proactive with field settings, especially at end of a match

e.g.

if need 10 an over of last 3 overs, need really defensive fields - but if off last over only need 6 for example, they must change to a more attacking field to prevent easy singles

so many times in IC10 needed about 4 to win with 2 overs left for example and same fields employed whether its correct field for situation or not

Content, content, content! Once the Ashes were over with the last game, that was it - I got bored of it.

I remember AC09. First time I played it I peppered Phil Hughes and got him caught at short leg. Thought this is great but then never managed to replicate it.

first of all make the AI play equal to a human mind!
next please make the faces of other country players properly!
Enable Online mode!
Regularly they should update their online Database with our latest official patches!
For now that's all! :yes

Needed:

# An Easy mode for all the casual gamers where they can hit all the balls for six if they want.
# A Normal mode for the people who want to play in the T20 style.
# A Hard Mode for all the hardcore gamers who want an ultra realistic cricket gameplay or who want to play a realistic 50 over match or test. (Realistic edges, Mishits, Difficult bowling....etc)
#Would like to see batting and bowling depended on stats.... (Gifted Batsman or bowlers have more shots or deliveries in their arsenal.... part timers being part timers... etc)
# Sensible AI fielding and synchronising running speed of a batsman running for a run and a fileder running to pick ball. Also realistic throwing speeds...
# Realistic Wicket Keeping from AI....
# Please try to mocap or animate a wide array of Cricket shots and Bowling actions...
# Realistic Umpairing....
# Free hit, Duckworth lewis, Super over... in breif don't miss any rules in cricket...
# Please include all the possible Stadiums.... please....
# Realistic Pitch behaviour.....
# Replays are a must and an important part of a cricket game, also allow us to save our replays like fifa...
# Please copy the the presenting style from any current cricket Broadcasters and include it in the game..
# Include as many stats as possible.....
# Make the game modder freindly, not super difficult like last time...( ie .exe editing is no more needed...)

Lol, lots of 'Realistic' comes in the above suggestions... this is all I can think now :D

Easy to say that, and i am sure its what devs want too, but will be so difficult to implement. Well, will be impossible but as close as possible the better :D

Stumpings
On hard level in IC10, in 2 yrs of playing, had AI stumped once :noway

Must be able to get more stumpings - again when chance arises of stumping, use the circle to determine if successful

Press button when green then will stump batsman
Press button when amber, 50/50 will stump batsman
Press button when red, then no stumping

How long circle stays on green would be determined by

  • WK reflexes stat?

Just watched gameplay video of IC 2010, I must say these should be fixed imo

Ugly Shot Animations - Shot Animations seems ugly and ruins the fun of playing a perfect cover drive or a hook. Animation should be smooth with no delay. EA did pretty good job in C07. Same goes for bowling action animations.

Batsman reaction after playing shot - Batsman becomes idle and feels like statue after playing shot. They should look for single and at least look where the ball is going. There should be movement going in between.

Crowds noise - One thing which I felt after starting the match was crowds. There were almost no noise, no cheering up. It should be loud, different chants especially when commentators are talking about pitch before match and when batsman are walking into field. One should feel the intense of playing a cricket match.

Delay in ball reaching batsman - Am I the only one who felt a delay when ball went from bowler's hand to batsman bat? It should be quick. One thing in which this can be improved is capturing both batsman and bowler in one frame. It seems when the bowler bowls, the frame shifts to batsman getting the feel like bowl will take ages to reach the bat. Again, look at C07, it is done perfectly.

Boring Commentators - Let's admit, the commentators were way boring. There was no excitement in their voices when there were giving introduction of pitch or describing the beautiful shot. Commentators and crowds does play important role to feel yourself in the environment. Also, try to bring as much commentatory as you can to fill up the environment. There were too many silent moments in previous games.

Player weight and height - It doesn't look nice to play with all players having same height and thin. Shouldn't be difficult I guess to create 3 different models for height. Increase the weight if you can.

If animations can be more smooth and less repetitive, it would be great.

Issue with this is more commentary means more chance of repetition

One thing that always annoys me is the consistent fumbling of fielders.
