The "must be fixed" thread

Number of bats should not be restricted like in AC09!
Increase the amount like up to 100-200!

Ooh I hardly think the amount was "restricted"! There were around 80 bats in IC10. And I think something like 500 individual different pieces of kit in total.
It's a very complicated business licensing so many different pieces of equipment, and I think we gave a really good range... But if there's anything you want to see, either a manufacturer or a specific piece, then let me know and I'll see what we can do!

AC09 only had like, 20?

The must-fix from AC09 for me are :
- stumpings are broken; keeper often takes ages between collecting the ball and dislodging the bails
- fielding the ground shots often/always resulted in a fumble
- sometimes leg-side attempted hoick using 'loft' button results in ground shot.
- batsmen unaware of their off-stump when batting against a spinner.

Fast gameplay(the basic reason of longevity of ea cricket 2007).

A batsman should not be able to flick a ball to legside when bowled completely outside off stump.:facepalm(Even the most wristy player VVS Laxman could only flick it to midwicket when the bowl is just slightly outside offstump).

Defending shots have to be made difficult by increasing edging tendencies.

Pitch conditions should matter.

Pitching spot should be only visible after the ball is released from the hand of the bowler.(This can be sustained by using ea 07 batting controls with extra buttons for defending and flair shots).

The movement of this invisible spot is only horizontal not vertical(only line selection not length ).The movement is less sensitive way outside off stump and the sensitivity of the spot increases in the lines from outside offstump to leg stump. Thus wides outside legstump would become very common if landing spot is not controlled properly. An execssive movement caused to the pitching spot can lead to a no ball.(one factor for no ball).Speed variation has to be included.

Length depends on the timing of the press of the button which controls the release of the ball from the final stride of the bowler.(press it early you will get a full length ball press it late you will get a shot ball.Inbetween somewhere lies the good length bowl). The distance for length demarcation(like 6-8m for good length) must remain same but bounce varies depending on the pitch

AI bowling more intelligent & has to be based on field set like what happens in real cricket.

FIELDING:
Should be relay based and completely manual

General:
More stats and graphs.
Tutorials covering all aspects are a must.
Training nets.

.

Seen a few people say this and personally do not agree

Pitching spot needs to be visible before the ball is released from the hand. you sometimes in IC10 with hud off see pitching spot after ball is released and even against a spinner its too late

You need time to determine

  • Shall I play defensive , attacking or 6 hit
  • Which direction am I going to hit it
  • Play off front or back foot

Whilst in real life you can compute this in less than a second you cannot with controller in your hand, and pressing correct key combinations is simply not possible

Seriously? Who blocks the ball lol I know 09 you can edge it while blocking and it determines of the timing meter. So nothing wrong with current method.

As for ball bowled outside off. What about a really slow bowler? What about the sweep shot?

What I would love to see is that batsman favorite shots shots they play well has increased or gets a perfect easier on the timing meter. Also I like to see the classic matches challenges come back like in Brain Lara

...then the simple solution is for Trickstar to come up with a controller that wires directly into our brains!

Way ahead of you. Although in the interests of full disclosure, I should say that many of the animals we're using to test it have not been the same since we tried that. There's a kind of far-off look in their eyes which apparently wasn't there before...

I'd say use caution.

...Pfft, there's your sticker on your box and a small disclaimer on the first promotional. Problem solved! Although, I'm intrigued as to what animals you chose to "play cricket" with... bet there's some fearless kittens out there with aggressive batting skills?

I can't disclose for legal reasons. What I will say is that squirrels are more tenacious than many would give them credit for. And that's all I'll say.

...that needs to be in the FAQ! :p

Please fix these issues

1. Batsmen just stand still after playing a shot
2. Cut shots go for six off yorkers
3. Wicket Keepers too athletic off spinners down leg side
4. Variable bowling speeds and bounce
5. More realistic and energetic commentary with signiture catch phrases (start the car, you beauty)

6. Arena mode (like Fifa) while the game loads would be cool
7. Licencing would be nice
8. Improved graphics and animations
9. Improved customization
10.Career mode

Finally, a confidence meter that once full will allow batsmen to play a "special" shot such as the switch hit, or padel sweep. Bowlers will have the ability to bowl "special" deliveries and so on
