Pool 2 (1/2)

Oh. Well. Uh. Billy Bruce opening I guess?

The reaction to this pool was "Do I have to?" and the selection was Umar Akmal at 5.

I'm sorry to say, Pillowprocter, but you might have missed George Ulyett...

Aislabie

OHHH JIMMY JIMMY at 11
1677587115620.png

Parth
1677587155450.png
Possibly the best pool without anybody who made 20 international appearances, Parth selected all-rounder and future selector chairman RWV Robins, and put him at 7 - game with a lack of a keeper
1677587298033.png

Disharies
1677587310733.png
Temba Bavuma is an easy pick in this pool. Positioning is harder - Disharies went with #3.
1677587391946.png

Neo 7
1677587444535.png
Another team to fill 10 and 11 already, Neo adds Lonwabo Tsotsobe, probably the best of an awful bunch.
1677587564192.png

Fenil
1677587590621.png
Fenil had a few options, including two keepers, but elected to go with Vinod Kambli at 3. Some say he was more talented than Tendulkar...

Na Maloom Afraad
1677587712708.png
"Oh No" was right for this pool. S Senanayake is almost the default, and NMA selected him for #9.

CerealKiller
1677587780342.png
Gary Kirsten as opener might be the easiest pick this round.

Till Valhalla
1677587874143.png
For unknown reasons, I almost said the pick here was Cam Kellaway - it is in fact Charlie Kelleway. He bats 5.

Once again, I nearly went with the Kenyan D Allan by mistake, but I found the right David Allen, who bats 8 for Ahmed.
1677588038576.png

Ed
1677588047807.png
Junior Murray will come in at 8 for Ed. He'll also probably take the gloves, hopefully with the same focus you see here:
1677588089969.png

Aravind
1677588138567.png
In a choice between some terrible openers, Aravind picked Rory Burns, which means for the first time ever in RNG Draft history, we don't have an image but...

David Allen's biopic could easily be played by Christian Bale

I'll be leaving @Neo 7 for now bc I need to get this round out today to remain on schedule. Please make your pick soon.

Round 3 (1/2)

Ddrap
1677908518870.png
I'm sorry everyone
1677908913310.png

Aravind
1677909028365.png
Aravind only really had Mehidy Hasan Miraz as a viable option; he will bat at 8.
1677909067069.png

AhmedLeo
1677909079044.png
I shall assume that "Fawad Alan" is meant to be Fawad Alam. He comes in over James Faulkner, and bats 5.
1677909119244.png

Parth
1677909134229.png
A second Bangladeshi allrounder at 8 here; Mahmudullah joins Parth's team.
1677909164159.png

Pillowprocter
1677909206144.png
Axar Patel is the third #8 taken this round already!

CerealKiller
1677909290645.png
CK had the deepest pool here; he could have taken Geoff Lawson or Brett Lee, but instead he went with VVS Laxman, who will bat 5.

2/2

Fenil
1677910205211.png
Not an impressive pool in Tests, but John Shepherd has the FC stats and will play 7.
1677910427600.png

Ed
1677910439843.png
Obvious. Sachin (at 4) and Bradman in the same round is huge.
1677910476173.png

Till Valhalla
1677910506974.png
Monty Noble at 2 is a brilliant all-round option. Smart work from TV too to put him where his best average is.
1677910560201.png

Disharies forgot his position.

Na Maloom Afraad
1677910606186.png
NMA got the Ross Adair pool from last round. He went with his brother instead at 8.
1677910637141.png

Aislabie
1677910733514.png
Aislabie signed a second spinner; not Mason Crane, but a guy also handy with the bat (and as such, he'll bat 4).
1677910785073.png

Neo 7 MIA

That is criminally low. Mahmudullah isn't a full-time bowler so Parth can only hope for a Kallis, Shakib or Stokes now. Otherwise he'll either have to put a bowler in the top 6, or play 3 full-time bowlers.
To be fair, Parth already had RVW Robins at 7, and that left him with the options of 6, 8 or picking Saqib Mahmood

@Aravind. you'll need to find a new place for Mehidy too btw, Malcolm Marshall's already there in your team

He could have had him at 6. The keeper could have been adjusted upon who he received. But yeah, his team, his call.

I am more than happy to have someone with 13000 runs and 1100 wickets at the FC level to be in my side. Gives us the option to play 5 specialist bowlers without compromising much on the batting (Thakur @8 can bat too). Another one missed out on a long Test career due to being born in the golden era of WI fast bowling.

After all, you got to pick 20 wickets to win a Test and if your top 6 and the two all-rounders at 7 and 8 cannot score runs, you don't deserve to win.
